Is it true that you need 2 pear trees for them to produce pears? I want to buy a small pear tree and really have room for just 1 as we have 2 dwarf apples and a peach tree in the little strip of yard between my neighbor and myself. Thanks for any help and advice.

I have only 1 and it puts out pears every year. I'm not sure what type of pear though.

I have a semi-dwarf bartlett pear and it's producing it's little heart out and it's only 4 years old. The cross pollenator I got for it didn't even bloom this year so it's doing it all by itself.
