Sounds like you're running a B&B. Alternatively-- since I do the same thing-- could be that you like your company. It is-- well, I find it-- fun to prepare for company. It's incentive to do stuff you know you should have done. It's nice to think about the comfort of your guests. ...

Tina, if you came to visit me, I would be working my butt off. I'd know you understand the situation, but I'd still want to make your stay *very* comfortable. You're are doing just that. RELAX,

I haven't seen those pics in awhile, thanks for bringing them back up Tina thumbup That's the most beautiful tree house I have ever seen.

Well, cloudy this a.m. high of 72*F they say..nice.

I have to go for groceries this morning, one of the worst chores ever lol ....I also have the stove soaking in oven cleaner..that poor stove gets a going over I tell ya, I have to fully spray it every month.

Just a normal day of cleaning and laundry here today, I'll be planting tomato and pepper plants later in the evening(when little niece comes down for her visit..I was told I better wait for her lol )She comes down every night to water my strawberry plants grin too cute.

Gonna take some pics later as well, few flowers starting to bloom.

Help in the garden is wonderful, Tamara.
Most of the time I do not mind grocery shopping. But sometimes I am a complete blank and nothing sounds or looks good. Then it is a drag.
Good morning. I got up way too early. I tried going back to sleep but that was not happening. I know I will nap later.

Good morning--raining here----again-----
I think sometimes we should be building an ark. rolz

I like teh shopping part.
I am just waiting for someone to tell me what to fix (been waiting 31+ years) so I would know what to buy. That makes me crazy.

I do not even mind cooking---just if I knew what to cook.
Thankfully I am home today but as a result of being sick and being so busy afterwards I need to do some catch up around the house here.
sad news is Rodney is going to be home, I cant work with him here---somebody pleae hire this boy......

Oh and now DH called to tell me that they might only be working 4 days a week for a bit, that's gonna mean LONG LONG weekends lol Remember the days when work was 5 days a week, 12 months a year? Not too many of those jobs left anymore.

I have so much to do but can't get myself in high gear today haha

well that is PART of the problem--the other part is:
1) come do this come do that---like I am his personal maid.
2) when he is home I feel like it is saturday & long ago I stopped working regular on the weekends---well he does not have to so I dont, well not so much..So very sorry about the 4 day weeks. I dont suppose they will do 10 hr days so you can have a full paycheck, will they ??

thanks for teh well wishes. kissie

Not sure on the hours for the days Carol, he is working over time tonight but they won't give pay for it they'll only trade time off..stupid rules, he called again..he is off tomorrow.

Too funny on the 'personal maid' comment, I am DH's maid, my fault for spoiling him, even when I worked I still did everything here. It's a trade off for me not having to work, although if I could find something decent..we could sure use the extra money to put into savings again.

Mopped myself into the computer corner for a bit. grin

I have been working again today. Mostly in the house. I am really pretty happy with my progress. But it is time for a nap now. Then I have to drive my daughter back into town to pick her car up from the shop this afternoon.

I cleaned all day today also...my oven was terrible, apple pies sure do a number on an oven when they spill.

Need to start supper in a few, it so humid out, yuck.

Hi everyone! Work was horribly busy today, my feet are killing me. I think my shoes are wearing out because my feet are hurting more regularly than usual. I'll look at getting some new shoes with my next check. I'm off tomorrow so I can sleep in a bit. Aros and I are going to go out for breakfast tomorrow. That'll be nice, we don't do that much anymore. The rain is back so I don't know that I'll get anymore gardening done this weekend. We'll see, depends on how hard it rains. Hope to run in to some of you tomorrow!

Good Morning everyone. wavy

AND HEY !!!! I BEAT TAMARA IN....... neenee

Well, I am up because I have just sent Rodney off to a new job....Providing he actually has one, that is. wavy
you see,
This week he had to begin looking for work (3 places a week) in order to keep his unemployment $$. This was one of the 3 places.
It seems they are in a big hurry to hire all kinds of welders, so Rod took a welding test.
Apparently they liked his resume so much that they hired him before they actually tested his welds. why So in a week or so we will find out if he indeed has a job or not.
Good news is that this place pays what the old one did. We were concerned that they would not, as that seemed to be the trend we found when Rod was looking around for oportunities since he was laid off.
I am so tired though---

Hi Tina, I got bit in the face by something..poison bugs lol

Well, I haven't rested yet, DH is gone with a friend to a feed store. So I cleaned and put out a full line of clothes...but now I smell smoke in the air. Another forest fire somewhere and it is so hot and dry the past week. nervous

Good news on the "job" almost job. Hope it works out.

These last couple of pages made me laugh. Personal maid. How about the, "Hey! Marica! Where's the _____ ?" I've learned to not hear him the first time. Then again. Then I walk toward the kitchen... and... _______ magically appears out of no where. Alternatively, I say, "It's on the middle shelve on the right side about half way back." "I looked there." And... I walk in... and... more magic!

They are so cute. What would we do without them?

I don't mind grocery shopping at all any more. I hated it in Cincinnati. But the little Piglet (our name for the very small Piggly Wiggly) is not too bad at all. There are maybe 10 aisles, all about 30-40' long. And we do the shopping together. Two carts. John does produce, dairy, and meat. I go through the aisles. Every Sunday morning John does the menu for the week and then makes out our two lists and off we go. Even including the 10 minutes to and 10 back, we're home in less than an hour.

On the down side, the Piglet doesn't exactly have the more exotic items stocked. So go to "the city" once a week and stop in at the mega Piggly WIggly.

The folks at the Piglet take your groceries to your truck for you. I love the Piglet.

Enough's enough I guess. Back to work. Or not. We'll see!

I detest my local grocery store, the prices are ridiculous and they never have whats in the sale..but driving for 45 minutes one way to the bigger stores is just as cr@ppy.

What a LONG day...It's too hot out to do anything and I ran out of inside work.

It's almost lunchtime and we still haven't made it to breakfast lol Almost ready though, well I'm ready, Aros isn't. His dad called to ask him some plumbing questions. Tamara, rest days are good days, in fact they are my favorite days. Hope your eyes are better now. Junie, happy to hear about the job, keeping my fingers crossed for you and your hubby. I want to do the grocery shopping today, tomorrow is the solstice parade and the grocery store I go to is right on the trail where the naked bicyclists get to/come from. The last time I ran into them I was a bit disturbed, definitely don't need to see that again. Overall it's not so bad, but some people take it too far. Well, Aros is out of the shower so that means it's time for me to get my shoes on. See you all later!
