I have a Tangelo and every year it starts real good with fruit and the fruit drops early and what is left is tasty but small and the skin is thin. Hard to peel without hurting the inner fruit to eat. But it grows well and it is about 5 feet tall and I water by flooding it with a ring around it to hold the water and give it citrus fertilizer each month the same with my other 2 fruit trees, which I have not problem with. Can someone help me with this problem.

I'm not completely sure what the problem might be, but a few of neighbors of mine have grown tangelos before but of different varieties where the fruit texture and build each differ.Perhaps it is the variety of tangelo that your growing, is the problem. Has the fruit always developed that way or is this new?
