Hello, I am new to the forum and need some advice. Can anyone identify the ground cover/weed shown in the picture above? I did not take the picture, netwiz did, but it is identical to the weed encroaching on my lawn and landscaping in South Eastern PA. It thrives in the shade and is descending on my lawn from a wooded area behind my house. I have tried chickweed/oxalis, general ground cover killer on it, and a weed and feed with little to no success.

Half of my neighbor's yard is overrun with it now. It's a very attractive plant for the woods, but not in the lawn. Thanks for the assistance. -Paul

Hi perkasiegarden welcome to the Gardener's Forum.

I don't recognize the weeds in the picture, but I found some sites that may help you identify them.

How to identify weeds:

http://www.ppws.vt.edu/weedindex.htm

or take samples to your county's Cooperative Extension Office for identification.
