I have patches of wild raspberries or blackberries growing in a nearby field and i'm not sure how to tell the 2 fruits apart? The fruit is red and still firm (if you pick it it's not squishy yet), the plant has thorns, and there are runners underneath the ground that travel a few feet from each plant.

I read there are red and black raspberries, so i'm not sure if they just haven't gotten their full color yet and could be blackberries or black raspberries. How can you tell, and are they safe to eat if no pesticides are sprayed on them?

Don't take my word for it but the first looks like red raspberries, the second blackberries, and the third black raspberries. Again, don't take my word for it!

I would really need to see them to give you a good answer! Can you post some pics up?
