I apologize but i posted this in the wrong section earlier :(

I have a friend in NC that has a beautiful Carolina Jasmine. I am interested in getting a starter from it for myself? can anyone explain to me the easiest way to do this so that he can ship it to me and i can grow it here where I live?

If I were sending you the cuttings, I would snip a 12-18" whip from the new growth. I'd snip it about 1/2 inch below a leaf node, and remove the bottom 3 sets of leaves. Then I'd wrap some moist tree moss around the bottom 3 inches of stem and seal the moss in a plastic baggie, roll the vine up and toss it in a bubble envelope and send it off by quick mail...
That's what I'd do.

One thing I might add .
Before you throw that into a baggie , I put aluminum foil around the moss. then into baggie. I let leaves out of the baggie for air. Just protect it with cardboard.

Thats how I do it .

I use papertowels not moss.

To each his own.
