It's so wonderful here to be able to go for walks..lots...and have beautiful scenery to look at!

I have to show you all what my son gave me today. He's such a sweetie!!

This is a creamy yellow...and the outside petals are sort of lime green, which will turn yellow...and the center is the faintest blush of peach, which will spread out on all the petals. It is so beautiful!!

Well, I am going back to Webkinz World. I'll come back tomorrow.

I'm sad that you moved away and are no longer close to me but I'm glad you are happy where you are.

Having lived in Cincinnati for 12 years (and stil having family there) I understood it as you described it. Like any big metro area, some parts nicer than others. Maxi's dad and I left there about 16 years ago to find better lives here in Maine and we never regretted the change. For us, leaving Cincinnati was the right choice. And our Maxi was born here, becoming the first Mainer of the family.

I have never minded big cities, accepting them easily for what they are, but my affinity for nature does get squashed with big city life, try as I might with roof gardens and sunsets to make it otherwise! So I think I understand some of the relief and joy you are feeling in your new surroundings and I'm terribly pleased for you.

Good morning everyone!

I finally realized I needed to change my location under my name.

It was so sunny the last couple of days, and the snow was starting to melt a little bit, but today is low gray sky and gloomy.
My son told me that all this snow for so long is not the norm around here.
(Thank God!! I thought I had moved away from that stuff!) But....he said spring will come sooner than it did in Ohio. Yippee!!

I thought I would show you all the snowman (snowGIRL) my granddaughter and I made a couple of weeks ago. I love being able to have them stay over with me a couple of days, (one at a time, of course) and they always seem so excited to come! I never had this with my other grandchildren. I'm so lovin' it.

This is the kind of scenery I get to see as I walk to our little "downtown".




And this is your typical small town "Mainstreet USA". I LOVE it!!
With all the trees, woods, tree covered mountain sides, the fall is so beautiful here. I can't wait to see what spring will look like!

and the picture of your downtown looks a lot like the town next to me (6 miles away) I am so glad that yo are close to family and that you are happy.

Do any of you remember...somewhere in here...where we posted our beautiful sky photos?...I had several because my big, east face window allowed me to see gorgeous sunrises. When I was getting ready to move from there to here, that was the only thing I was regretting giving up. I knew I would miss that.

Well, look what I have here!!






I walk out my door and can see east, south, west and over my head!!!....Way more than I had before!! I get sunrises AND sunsets, and everything in between. I'm happy

Shirley, your new home town looks wonderful! I'm so glad you are in a place where you are so happy. Can come and run through those woods? Looks like a great location for a jog or a walk. I like the snowman, especially the pink scarf. How nice to have your grandchildren near and be able to spend so much time with them.

Wow! Last night, just after midnight the Internet just kicked me out!!

I had just started working in my farms on Webkinz! I have tried all day to get back on and couldn't until a little after midnight tonight. I could be on my computer and do other things, it just would let me on the 'net!!

Well, I'm here now...and now I'm going to bed.

So sorry for your internet woes, Shirley! Hopefully everything will work better for you today!

Diane, if you mean the white ones...that was so beautiful that morning!
That shot was straight in front of me, but those clouds ran all the way to the east and all the way to the west, just beautiful.


But.....my computer isn't suppose to sleep at midnight!! I'm always on it then, that's why the net shouldn't have kicked me off. I let it sleep when I am sleeping...at whatever time I decide it's nap time.

Shirley do you have an area of the yard claimed for planting? Is your son going to come over and amend the soil for you?? Let us know what you'd like to have as far as seeds, sedum's,and plant starts go okay?
