I was scooping up compost to use in my new tomato bed when I ran across really big white grubs in the compost. What are they? And i suppose the next question is how do I kill them. And please don't say step on them. I am really squimish.

Ummmm, welll, you took away my favorite option. The kids love it too. You could squish them between your fingers lol lol



Maybe put them in a little soapy water?

Sounds like a Japanese Beetler grub if it's big and white..

But without a you know what, it's hard to say with 100% assuredness....
