I thought it would be fun to have a thread about breakfast, too.
Today Maxi and I had toast w/ melted cheese and fresh apples. I had coffee to go with, but he didn't have time for a hot drink.
What about you? What was on your plate or in your bowl this morning?

On my plate today was a fried egg and two toasts. I ate half of the egg and one part of the toast. Just not as hungry as I thought I was, I guess!  On Maxi's plate was a peanut butter sandwich and grapes. And some fresh icy cold milk. Merme

I had a baked sweet potato for breakfast. I followed in the same theme and had a twice-baked regular potato with bacon, broccoli and 3 cheeses for dinner. Must be in a potato mood.

Yes, Carol, Cream of Rice is similar to Cream of Wheat except it is lighter in color and flavor because it is a rice cereal. On Maxi's plate this morning was leftovers from dinner last night! We heated up the leftover potatoes and ground beef and tossed in some eggs to scramble it all together. I skipped breakfast today....

On our plates today were chese omelets, made with Lorraine cheese. Maxi's omelet also had bruisito... and we had toast to go with. Maxi finished up with a Red Delicious Apple.

that was more than I had on MY plate, Merme.

You had coffee on your plate, Carol Jean? I had to laugh. The "old folks" (meaning the generation born in the 1890's) often poured their coffee from the cup to the saucer and drank it from the saucer. Your remark just reminded me. Spanish rice sounds good. In my bowl today was Wheatina. I added a little real butter and maple syrup.

I don't really eat it on a plate.. I put spinach, carrots, apple slices, orange peel, 1/2 banana, broccoli, blue berries, flax seeds, goji berries, and walnuts or almonds in the blender and drink a big glass of it it almost every morning.. Needless to say I can't wait to grow some more veggies this spring!!!!

neither Dodge---I dont always eat breakfast. usually just so something gets into my stomach. so today was gonna be a banana, but tehn I remembered the donut.
Sometimes I have oatmeal, sometimes I have cream of wheat, sometimes yogert.
on sundays I have bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, toast & coffee for breakfast.

On our plates today were bagels w/ cream cheese. The bagels were fresh from the bakery this morning. Yummy!
We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart? The other heart was given to another for us to find.

breakfast was cut up strawberries, kiwi, white grapes,mandarin oranges, water melon, ruby red grapefruit sections, all drizzled with lemon juice, and a toasted English muffin with Honey butter.

I want some of Diane's breakfast! Today on our plates, we had fresh bread oven toasted w/ melted butter! I cut the bread lengthwise from side to side, liberally spread the butter, then laid the halves face side up on the oven rack for a few minutes. The bread heated through, the butter melted, and the edges got crispy. Delish!

Merme- That sounds sooooo yummy!  Aerosol cheese and crackers! ~When the hubbs away the wife eats like she is still in college, LOL!

On our plates yesterday was the breakfast served to us at church by the men who shopped, cooked, served, and cleaned up afterward! They offered.... two types of scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes, home fries, corned beef hash, ambrosia, baked beans, muffins, bananas, OJ, three types of coffee, teas, hot chocolate, and cereal. They do such a good job on Breakfast Sundays.

Dodge, the guys do it once a month. A bunch of them signed up to be on either the Red or the Blue team & the teams take turns. Not all the men in the church participate, but many do. After the food is cooked & served, the guys join their families at the tables and eat also. We wouldn't make you eat w/out your husband, Dodge!

On our plates today were "gourmet" grilled cheese sandwiches. I used slices of bakery made light whole wheat bread I quickly toasted before putting in the pan. Delish!

Croissants Delicious mouth watering, l remember them well, hot, melt in the mouth, alas as im on a strict diet, my breakfast consisted of Bran flakes with skimmed milk, followed by an apple.
Any suggestions for a tasty diet breakfast?

Plain yogurt with blueberries and bran or some type of cereal flakes added. Very filling. Today was cheese croissant from Burger King.
