Can someone explain how to create a Member Photo Gallery?

I missed the information when it was posted previously.

We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart?
The other heart was given to another for us to find.

Click the "New Image" button in the upper right hand side.

It will bring up a page just like when you hit the "reply" button on a regular post.

Type your subject and the contents of your message, just like in a reply on the forum.

THEN...scroll down to the bottom of that reply box and you will see a link that says Image Manager.
Click it and another smaller box will pop up...where it says "Browse" you get the image from your computer (not photobucket!). Where it says "File Caption" you have a space to explain the photo. When you are finished click the "Add File" button. Then you have the option to do it all over again to add more photos and comments. Make sure when you are completely done you click the "Done Adding Files" button at the bottom.

It will return you to your previous "reply screen" and then MAKE SURE to click the SUBMIT button at the bottom.

That's it!

Thank you, Cindy!!

If I post three pictures today, for instance, can I come back later and add more tomorrow to the same thread or do I have to open a whole new topic?

The same time limit for editing your posts will apply to adding (editing) more photos. I'll check the limit...

Thank you, Wild Willy! :ding:

So in other words, if I want all 11 possible photos in my thread, I have to do them at one time OR come back within two hours to finish, right?

idea Well... if I run down to the basement and change the max # of pix from ten to 15 you could post some pix, come back an hour and 50 minutes and add a few (or just 'edit" what is there)... repeat... you could do it over a few hours, but don't go to sleep until you're done....

off to the basement... bop

Ok, I put my thread together, but I couldn't figure out how to size the photos without using photobucket. Straight from my computer files, they are various sizes and I think only one was right....

Thank you Cindy.

Will the newly sized photos replace the ones in my computer, or will it create a second version of it in the right size?

So could I potentially end up with two of everything OR one of everything in the right size?

You will have one the original size and another in the smaller size.

Last question.... I promise! lol

When we use photobucket for pictures here, we can't delete or move them around inside photobucket or the pictures get deleted here as well.

If I delete the smaller size from my computer (so I don't have two sets of photos overloading my system), will the photo vanish from here also?

Sorry for so many questions, Cindy. :ding:

Nope...it's uploaded to Bill's server and is saved there...I reckon.
