docs Close... but still no cigar....
I had to make some unexpected changes to the colors and a few things where I found issues with other browsers and systems.
If you have a minute, please check and see how things look on these updated pages so I don't have to backtrack later.....

BTW, if you set the width of your "content" column to 100% it'll always cover the area that is empty in the page...

Well... like for instance, if you had seen that the footer font was bigger than the H1 font on some browsers yesterday...

I just checked on IE too. And it looked good. But now I remember again why I dislike IE so much.

I'm still truckin' along....
Two potato pages were edited and became three...
http://www.thegardenhelper.com/potato.html
http://www.thegardenhelper.com/potato2.html
http://www.thegardenhelper.com/spuds.html

I created a soil issues page:
http://www.thegardenhelper.com/soil.html

As I move through pages I will be updating and revising the menu buttons to reflect changes as needed.

The soil and bug pages were both fine but the potato pages were not. On all three of them the ad covers up the information on the left side. At least on my computer it does.

Thank you very much! 'potato' is the sites busiest page right now so I sure don't need it to weird people out. I actually had the pages fixed but apparently I forgot to upload them. (I forget a lottastufflately...)
Could you please recheck?
Thank you

I just rechecked and they were the same. It's the side bar ad, it comes down over the type while the top bar ad seems to be fine, but they are both sort of an all in one deal? I can't figure out how to take a picture of it to show you what I'm talking about.

Sorry to create more work but I'm glad I could help. I looked at the links on my phone, which uses safari, it looked different but not by much. I thought maybe it was my computer or browser but I guess not.

And all 3 potato pages are looking good in mine. How odd. I'm going to try them in IE.
They looked OK in IE but too big. I had to scroll side to side.

I rebuilt the template from scratch and so far I haven't found any 'layout' errors with any browsers...

I'd appreciate it if you could test these pages again... AND see if the text lights up (flour. green) when you click the vertical scrollbar or other 'blank' areas on the page. That is not supposed to happen but on my system it is...

http://www.thegardenhelper.com/potato.html
http://www.thegardenhelper.com/potato2.html
http://www.thegardenhelper.com/spuds.html

Thank you!

Yes, I get the green when I click on the pages except the recommended potatoes. There only the bar on the right goes green if I click on a subject. Just that link.

as it does for the others, except like the recommended potatoes page, like tina said.

but that page, it goes green if you click in the table, but not if you click anywhere else.

The first three light up green when clicking on the back ground color
the last one doesn't light up -EXCEPT for the word "template" at the bottom of the page

The ads are all in the right places now. I get the green text too but on the last page I only get it if I click on the text. The choose your language box doesn't quite look like it fits just right but it's not interfering with anything.

I'm pretty sure I found and fixed the 'leak'
How far out of kilter is the language box? The 'translator' was supposed to fit in the space allowed, but Rosettastone didn't make an adjustment for the 'picture frame'. (it is the third translator I've tried) I will get that sizing changed over and put the bookmark gizmo back on now that I figured out the green thingy problem.

No more "leak", the translator fits, but it takes up the whole space instead of being inside your border, the wood on the left. Am I making any sense? It looks like it just needs to be a smidgen narrower, at least on my browser. The rest of it looks great!

Thank you all!
I took care of the translator sizing and the 'add me' button. Now I guess I can move forward again! thumbup

I started an 'Archived Page' archive page that will have as many old (retired) pages as I can dig up as well as the old monthly newsletters and historical TGH stuff like that. It will be a while before its debut, but it is in the works now. I've had a few laughs over what I've found so far. Things sure have changed over the years... lol

I went to put the butterfly slide show on to the Butterfly page, but the butterfly page was on the 'wood background' page which had no place for the video.... so I split the page into two and put it on the primary style page.
