And I am going to go back to bed here in a few minutes. Gotta take some meds and wait for my head to drain a bit. But My bed is calling to me.
Good night all.

It is often wise to listen to your bed, Tina. Rest well.

I am running late but I am on my way to ceramics. See you all later, bye. wavy

And I am up. I slept in today. I woke at the time I am usually leaving to take Ted to school. He will miss another day. But it should be his last for a while. And I will take him in for a flu shot to make it all legal. Not that he will like me for that.

I am sorry. I hope the Benadryl is helping you out, Nana.
I ran out and did my thing and am back. I will probably snooze myself today. I don't have big plans.

I am sorry that Jon is getting more discomfort instead of answers, Nana. Still praying for him.
I didn't do much today. It is blowing up a storm of pine needles out there. They are up to my knees in drifts. More raking is in my immediate future. But that is always so after the first Santa Ana wind.
I've been watching the news for the latest fires. But none near me so far. The dust out there is a killer right now. It has not been kind to my cold today.

Nana, I hope they figure out what is wrong with Jon and get him fixed up right, and I hope that your rash clears up quickly.

Quiet around here today. We finished dinner a bit ago and me and the girls watched our gilmore girls episode for the evening. Now I'm just sitting here relaxing, the boys are playing xbox live. I think I'll read a bit before I go to bed. I just started back up on a medication and it makes me sleep until I get used to it.

Morning,
We had boys last night,,, fed them waffles for breakfast today and all at school - except Nicoli - he goes afternoons so is watching scooby doo with Papa..
They let Jon go home last night after decididng he had strep in his bloodstream- he is now on more stronger pain meds- antibiotics .,. Carrie has to disenfect her house- would go over and help but she is afraid I will get it,,, so will do what I can and keep the boys till she can get it done- she took today off from work again to get some rest and take care of Jon too,,, with such big does of narcotics he can't be alone and still needs help walking-- his leg is still swollen-it's crazy the first test he had last week showed strep and they never told them or gave him the meds then- so they should be paying all his bills in full now.,.. plus carries pay for having to take days off... not very impressed with the docs kaiser hires at all..
Well enougth of that rant - got to go get my shower and get something done here...
it didn't snow here yet but it is only 41* right now.... I am freezing...

Nana, John had Kaiser when he died. He couldn't say enough good things about them. And neither could I. I grew up on Kaiser and I know they scraped the bottom of the barrel when hiring doctors when I was a kid. But I also know they have improved. But some things take time. Jiffy has been pinning down her diagnosis for a couple of years. It is hard with RA or lupus. There is no real definitive test. They have to rule out everything else it could be too.
So that being said, I haven't had my best day. But I have also not had my worst. So I'm doing pretty good, all in all.

Good morning. Up early again but slept right through. So I am good to go.
It is very nice to hear from you Carol. I'm glad you checked in. I guess I'm getting paranoid when friends drop out of sight.

not to worry--I am not going anywhere, Tina.

I was home all day yesterday so I did a few things around home. Making a pie for DH was one. It seems I am back to running errands & such a lot---so if I am not around, just assume I am out driving someone somewhere. lol
DH thinks I should get a job now that the kids are gone, but just who would run his mom around I ask??? Besides, I had a very good job back in the day--But no, I should stay home with the kids, so here I sit. And no the good job is not an option any longer, I would have to return to school & resit for an exam.

If it is anything else I usually come on and post that (example: I am sick--again)

Today it is raining--yea!! BUT I have to run to town & pick up some library books, and take a few things to the cleaners.

I think I'm actually starting to feel better. It's been a battle. I know several people in the same boat as I. Once this virus or whatever it is gets hold of you it won't let go. It's taking 2 or 3 antibiotics to get rid of it and the cough goes on forever. My throat is hurting again a little bit but I'm hoping it's from the coughing. I have a break in October so if I can just make it til then. Johnny told me yesterday that if I plan one thing for my time off he's going to pitch a fit so looks like I'll be hanging around the house.

What kind of pie did you make Carol? If I make anything sweet Johnny will have 1 serving then I have to eat the rest of it. His sweet tooth isn't as strong as mine.

Eating the rest sounds good to me. This cold didn't affect my appetite in a detrimental way at all. Pie sounds so good.
I took Ted to school. I go by my daughter's rental every day to make sure it hasn't been vandalized while it is empty. With cars coming and going the nastier neighbors don't know when someone might show up. It is not in the best neighborhood but is not far from Ted's school so convenient. Just before we got there today Ted tossed his cookies. So I took him in and changed his clothing. Swung by school to let them know he wasn't going to be there today and brought him on home.
Not the best start to his or my day.

I am glad you are starting to feel batter, Sheri. Let us hope that trend continues.

I made a apple crumb pie. BUT there was no bottom crust. I 'try' to make the desserts a bit less in the calorie department.
BUT I was concerned that the apples were a bit green and so I added sugar to the apples, along with the spices & tapioca. (I guess they were not green) Boy is it sweet---but that should be good if you are Rod--or I see, it is good if you are Johnny--so yea I'll cut him a slice. But I think you are gonna have to fight Rod for the rest. neenee

Ted is not so sick. It is just leftover cold stuff and a cough at an inopportune moment that got him this morning. But I will keep him home today and tomorrow to try to shake this. It doesn't help that the school has a/c and they keep it so cold. He reacts poorly to a/c.
I have been feeding this cold pretty often. So I went to see what that has done to the five pounds I worked off. But I took off an additional 5 so I am good to go.
That makes me feel pretty good!

I've had a lot of students vomiting this week. A little girl yesterday had a temp of 102.9.

I just porked down 2, yes 2, hostess cupcakes.

Good thinking. I sent a bunch to Ted's school too but they also supplied it there. Also Clorox wipes and lysol spray and a lot of tissue boxes.

one of my students stopped by the office today, on his way to visit a "sick friend" who lived in the building i work in. i could tell he was nervous, but was going because she had called and asked him to. i offered him hand sanitizer, and he was relieved, or seemed to be. and said he had a mask in his back pocket.
