I actually made it to my sewing machine today and finished my bucket organizer. So far this was the hardest thing I've ever sewn, it's full of mistakes and "oh that'll just have to be good enough" but I think it turned out all right and I'll definately use it.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh I like that! Good Job!!!!! and a great idea,,,
I always have to go back and forth from areas forgetting where I've laid down one tool or the other outside.
Is that covering a bucket??

Well, if it is full of mistakes I will have to take your word for it because it looks perfect to me and I just LOVE it!

It is covering a bucket Diane. A 5 gallon bucket. It actually goes inside too, I guess so it stay on? I'll probably line it with a paper bag to put my cuttings and things in so I don't dirty it too much.

Thanks Memosa! I'm glad to have it finished in time to use it.

That is a great job, Cheryl. It does look like a handy gadget holder.

Cheryl ~ Very nicely done, my friend. And quite attractive too.

Did you have a pattern for it or did you create the pattern with big paper?

That's a great looking bucket cover. Great job!

Haven't you heard that homemade things need a mistake in them so we can tell they were made with love and not store bought.

Thats very cute.

We have a cup with a holder similiar to that/ It is removable.
Son bought it for his dad, we use it as a pencil holder it the kitchen.
It is quite a bit smaller, but used daily.. letter opener and pencils and pens and finger nail files.....Right at our tips .

Try that on a cup for your office ..

I like that Jayhawk! Merme, I used a pattern, not near experienced enough for drafting my own anything. Someday.

Thanks Carol, I'm always proud of myself when I finish something I can actually do something with. Not all of my sewing attempts have worked out, but that's how I learn.

Can you share with us where you got the pattern from? All the patterns I've seen only have 1 row of outside pockets.

I got the pattern at JoAnn's. It was a McCalls pattern. Next time I'm downstairs I'll get the pattern number.

What a fantastic idea!!! Could have used that when I had my house and garden. clapNow I live in a small apartment and just use a trowel for my gardening in a pot. whyBut I'm sure that your idea is springing up all over the place. Thank you for this great idea. I love looking at the picture. And the pattern you used for the organizer is just so "happy". bop
