the top half of 2 different types of trees are dying can any one advsise

Sounds like transplanting shock, poor soil, or both. If the bottom halves are okay, there may be hope for them. See that they don't dry out... Welcome to the forum.

How old are the trees?
Newly planted?
What zone?
What types?
How is the die back manifesting?
