That is interesting it's also interesting that my plants bloom later than the plants in other peoples yards here. I don't know what is going on with that.

My Old Fashion Weigela has also started blooming. The flowers aren't nearly as nice as other specimens I've seen so I'm disappointed about that but the red is really a nice shade so there is that to enjoy.

Stop worrying of the plants beauty.. The others probaly have older plants an usually more blooms on older stuff..
