Last fall I notice a stem growth from the Center of this succulent,, But Felt I missed possible blooming,, Cricket said she has the same plant and had missed seeing it on hers, yet had the same center growth as mine.
This year I caught it in bloom or blooming as the case is on this one,, Tiny tiny white w/green stripes tubular blooms clap

tiny blooms

this succulent appears to be sending out baby's as an extended growth, I've watched it daily since the new growth began and No blooms , but a cluster of what appears as the same as the mother plant at the end of the growth. I'm wondering IF I cut that off IF it will root to begin another plant??? anyone know??

Wow! I remember looking at those!!! Who would have thought that stem and flowers would come out of that. That's gives me a different attitude towards those kind of plants. They would be very interesting to watch.

that's a haworthia. very delicate/dainty blooms - pretty, though.

the first one is haworthia. sorry, don't know which particular variety.

the second one with the flower stalk, idk. kind of looks like a euphorbia - there's quite a variety; some with stalks and leaves (like regular plants) and others that look just like cacti and then others that are basically leafless yet still kind of look like cacti (have that same 'smooth' look to them).

yes, the second one does look like a pencil cactus - which is really euphorbia tirucalli and not a cactus at all :)

if it is this particular euphorbia, i've never seen one growing like that - usually the 'stems' are much longer before they start branching. could be it, though and it was just given a severe trim or something.

Nope I 've never trimmed it, it was tiny when I planted it in there it is at least five times bigger now then it was,, it is much wider then it appears,, due to angle of camera,, it's very soft, fuzzy,, ,
