yes I am. I've decided it's not me it's the MP3 player. This thing will do everything, make videos, record pictures and voices, I can download from my PC, listen to the radio or CD's - only thing is it won't work. I finally went to the website and did a repair scan and the site says "there is an error on your MP3 Player" so I guess it's not me. I hope Ginger has the receipt.

We got an unexpected call today offering us a ride to church. So, Maxi is already abed and I am going shortly because we will be leaving at 8 AM.

Safe away home O my palies and sweet dreams to you all.

So, I finally talked to someone at the MP3 player place and he said they're sending me a new one because this one is broken....But....this morning Johnny played with it a while and it's working. Now, should I call them and tell them to not send one or let them send it in case it really isn't fixed and stops again?

Is this still a good C.H.?
I was gone for a couple of days and not many posts have been made?
I guess we are all just busy with our wonderful three day weekend!
I just submitted a mystery plant, if anyone wants to take a stab at it. it's currently in a pot that says azalea but it looks rose like to me???

I got a phone call earlier today from an old friend of the family. I haven't seen in 25 years at least. we invited him and his fam over tomorrow for some bbq tomorrow. what a blast from the past! small world. my cousin ran into him at walley world the other day and gave him my number. his dad and my dad were the best of friends and we kinda grew up together as well.
(I think hubby is jealous. this should be interesting)

I lock up my mp3 all the time and have to get my son to unlock it for me. he asks why I keep locking it in the first place. I just grin. I have NO idea how I lock it and he unlocks it SO fast I still don't know how he fixes it for me!
we're old, I think.

I'm glad you're back Cricket. I've been talking to myself.

I didn't call them about the MP3. guess I'll get a new one in the mail. Do you think I locked it somehow and Johnny somehow unlocked it. The rep said he couldn't find the screen in the manual that was on my player. He didn't mention unlocking to me.

bow haha
I have NO idea???

sorry you have been talking to yourself, sheri.
I popped in yesterday for just a bit, but just browsed. I didn't feel much like talking.
these ear infections have gotten me crazy! I see a slow bit of improvement each day, but I still CAN'T hear! I have been sleeping day and night, but still have dark circles under my eyes. I think its from the constant agravation of not being able to hear. one of things we all take for granted, I guess. I came inside yesterday and still had my sunglasses on. I couldn't figure out why the tv looked so dark.
today I got me a canned drink and put it in my coozie upside down.
I swear, not being able to hear is throwing me all off balance - making me loopy!

I wish they could just get your ears straightened out, Cricket! This has been going on a very long time, it seems.

it has been going on a very long time, merme! I don't go to the doc much so when something does come up that I need antibiotics for they prescribe the very mildest there is around. I see their point, but IF I don't go to the doc that often, maybe JUST maybe I let it get SO bad that I need the extra boost - I need some heavy duty antibiotics!?! the first round of antibiotics only cleared me up for about 4 days, then it came right back.
I'm so sorry to complain. I don't complain around friends or fam anymore. they get enough with me saying 'huh?, what, I can't hear you'?

thanks for letting me vent. I'll shut up now!

So, did you finish your book merme?

Which book are you asking about? Tonight I finished Angels & Demons but that is the fifth book this week, so....

lol oh, ok! I'm such a slow reader, when I get on a book even if it's good it takes me a week or two to finish.
I quit reading a book earlier this week that I thought was gonna be good. I got half way through and it never got any better for me.

I'm gonna get a shower, be back in a bit.

Cricket, this is going to sound silly but have you tried Sudafed? Years ago I took every antibiotic the doctor would give me for my ears. They'd get better for a while then stop right back up and when they were stopped up I couldn't hear and they hurt. This went on 3 months at least. My brother in law told me I should try Sudafed. WAs it a coincidence? Was it time for the antibiotics to finally work? I don't know. But it was gone after 2 days of the Sudafed. Actually starting improving after the 1 Sudafed. My ears stop up once in a while even now and I take Sudafed and it gets better.

Sheri that does NOT sound silly at all! I know Lots of people who've used that for similar problems (even me) and it does work.

haha it's early in the day.

Have you ever done that? And what makes it pop into my head when it's too late. Just sitting her minding my own business then it pops into my head that I didn't put on deodorant. Too late to do anything about it so why did my brain bring it to my attention. Then I really do start sweating.

I would like to start a thread for people who've been here a while to tell about ourselves. They either didn't post in the "new" section or I missed it or I've forgotten stuff about them. For instance, I was wondering this morning what type of job Shirley had before she retired if she worked in the public and how Diane met Dwight. Maybe people don't want to tell personal stuff but I'm always wondering. What do you think?

Morning...
It's a wonderful so far sunny morning- we got rain and hail yesterday evening and last night there was a tornado spotted by Chatfield Resovoir too- only about 4 miles from me... sure glad I have a basement.. was tiny hail here though so no damage and we got an inch of rain.... nice!
We put our flag out today for the holiday... Joe is off to work now too and now I am getting sleepy again- was up early again with the birds singing... at least that's pleasant-- yesteray I woke up very early to a rabbit's scream... sounds a lot like a child- not to good...
I am making scrambled eggs and bacon today- coffee pot is ready too... got a deal on a everfull one.. so help yourselves.... juices too and there is toast an bagals, tortillas to if you want a breakfast burrito- made some chorizo too.. it's in the warmer.....
Going to see if Mom is stirring and if not will hit my shower now... may go pull some dandilions too after I am dressed... should be easy after all the rain...

Nana, your breakfast sounds wonderful.
I have no big plans for my day. Finishing up a little laundry maybe. Getting ready for the school/work week starting tomorrow. Beyond that I haven't any concrete plan.
I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

It is nice, Sheri. I have planned a few of those days for myself lately. I need them and so does my son. My daughter, on the other hand, is all over the map busy. All is well.

Maine is one of the only two states which celebrates Patriots' Day. It commemorates the battles of Lexington and Concord, the first two battles of the Revolutionary War. For ages it was celebrated on April 10th but then in the late 1960's, it was moved to the third Monday of April, providing a three day weekend.

I've always thought Patriots' Day should be celebrated on a more wide-spread basis nationally because well, we did become a nation through that war of independence!

Morning... boy Tina you are up early.. having my first cup too... it's cold wet and still raining here today--- making up for our lack of moisture all winter in a few days... it's 48* right now... had to turn on the heaters again this morning....
Our kids are having the last few days of school this week- today is Derek's graduation from kindergarten... he is so excited... I think Papa is too....
Well off to make Mom breakfast... then will get in hot bath to see if that helps the achiness.... have things to do today..

I hope everyone is having a good day, wherever you are or whatever you are doing.

I've not been feeling well since yesterday so today I am just laying low and hope I perk up soon.
