We went to our local nursery last spring and they said Zebra Grass was hardy for our area...zone 5a..
We have yet to see any growth on ours...is it a late season grass??
I noticed last year it didn't seem to grow alot until it became really warm here.
Does it come out late?

Greg

This plant has no problem thriving in a zone 5 climate. It tolerates drought, standing water, heat and humidity conditions well and grows enthusiastically in zone 4 to zone 9. Plant in a location where there is access to atleast six hours of direct sunlight daily, although it will tolerant a hint of shade, with a wide PH range going from 5.5 to 8. Make sure you keep the soil moist with excellent drainage and give plenty of room for zebra grass to grow.
