I am a novice gardner and have a small container herb garden on my patio. I think I may have made a big mistake. I accidentally bought garden soil with a warning to not use it in containers. I didn't realize this until after my plants were planted. I was wondering what harm may be done to my plants and if I should re plant them with new soil. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's Scott's premium garden soil. They're doing ok so far. Hopefully they'll make it.

I think your herbs will be okay. Just go easy on watering because Scott garden soil contains Sphagnum peat moss. Peat moss retains water. Water the herbs when the top 2-3 inches of soil is dry to the touch.

Thanks for the help. My plants are still alive, so that's a good thing. I'll just pay extra close attention to their watering needs.
