I just don’t understand.
Where is strength when you feel like letting go?
Where is faith when you simply don’t understand?
Where is comfort when pain is all you know?
Where is hope when you feel everything slipping from your hand?
And through my pain I hear;
A Father's voice falling on my ear.

I want you to understand.
It was there all the time, though you simply couldn’t see.
It was in your time of weakness you learned that you were strong.
When the pain prevails is when you learn all that I intended you to be.
Only through your hopelessness could you find comfort in a song.
It was through my love I had to let you fall
So in your desperation, I always be there when you call.
Only then could you truly understand.
