OK, Maddie got a plant today and it didn't have a tag. The name of this plant is somewhere in my head already, but it just isn't coming to me. Caladium maybe??? If so, what kind? (the plant on the left...I know the plant on the right, it just ended up in the picture) Also, this succulent didn't have a tag and I didn't think to grab one from another plant.

The third one looks like an echeveria to me. ( one of the hen and chicks varieties)or a graptoveria. Maddie's plant could be a caladium. But there are half a dozen house plants very similar to that too. And I am no expert on houseplants. Mine don't live long enough to become familiar.

I'm pretty sure Maddie's plant is a diffenbachia. I was thinking so too, Jenn.

I'm pretty sure Maddie's plant is a diffenbachia. I agree. I just can't be sure when talking houseplants. Diffs are very toxic, Jenn. Be careful if yout tots look like leaf chewers.

I remember seeing that tag on another one...the one I picked had more leaves on it. A few leaves fell off and then I collected some fallen leaves from others and put them in my plant's container. Do they root easily when the leaves come off?....like how a jade roots? I'm letting the leaves dry out a bit and then I'll stick them in the soil to try to grow roots. I'm pretty sure Maddie's plant is a diffenbachia. I agree. I just can't be sure when talking houseplants. Diffs are very toxic, Jenn. Be careful if yout tots look like leaf chewers. thanks for the warning...I don't keep any plants within reach of the kids. They would murder my plants.
