Here are the two photos we had taken today after church. We were in the park at the top of the hill behind the complex where Maxi is staying.
In this first photo, he refused to look up because the sun was shining so brightly.
In this second photo, I lent him my sunglasses just so he'd cooperate!
We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart? The other heart was given to another for us to find.
COOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good Pictures Merme! Love the second Picture!!!!!! You're looking great & very happy
I'm glad to see you have sunny skies,, and Neither of you are wearing a coat or jacket,, so it must have been a little warm! YIPEEEEEEE Warm sunshine Perfect for Palm Sunday! And Awesome for you to get some good weather! Thanks for the pictures Keep 'em comin' ! I guess You'll have to get Maxi a pair of his own sunglasses

We had a downright HEATWAVE today, Diane! It was a steamy 58 degrees! And so-o-o-o sunny everyone was running around without a jacket!
My silly kid has his own keys and sunglasses and ... yet I'm forever and always having to leave the door unlocked and lending him my lenses... Little Mr. I Forgot It At Home!
It doesn't show on the photo but the blouse I am wearing is patterned. It is shot through with a very delicate gold metallic thread in a dense but dainty paisley-like design. Which is why I wore my black & gold headband, black velvet slacks and metalic shoes.
And you are right: I was VERY happy!
We had a great time!!

Merme, when I saw the picture, I thought to myself: is that really her? I always imagined you (for some odd reason) as really really old, way older with huge reading glasses I can see the gold thread on your blouse, but it only looks like gold glitter. It looks like we're sharing the nice weather today :) It was nice and clear today as well.

But it is humorous, the mental images we can get of people we haven't met in person. Once, on another forum for women I belonged to years ago, I was given the "job" of describing everyone based on the image they'd created in my head from their posts. They loved my "profiles" and laughed like crazy over them. Some of them printed theirs and had them framed.

I am falling on the floor laughing out loud- I remember your description of me Merme... I think I still have my printed out description by you--- hmmmm somewhere in the mess my office has become--- seems to me you had me in mind as a black lady.... oh my that was a long time ago.... Nana

Actually, that was B&BNiagra who descibed you that way, Nana! Yours was the one of the only two descriptions she tried. When I first started doing them, I thought it would be fun if we ALL did them, so we could see how others see us. But she was the only other member who tried one. Later she emailed me about it in case you were offended. I may have done one after that, I don't remember. But I do remember her talking about your colorful cap & very long hair braided with hundreds of beads in the braids!
What freaked me out, though, is that when she did me, she described me in an outfit that I had owned during my college days and it had been a personal favorite for several years! How did she guess that? Down to the neopolitan colors involved?!

I'm so happy we have this camera. It was a lovely thing for Diane to do for us. So many people have enjoyed seeing the pictures we've taken with it so far, it is really neat.
Thank you again, Diane.

Well Merme your memory is much better than mine.... now you all know why I write everything down- if it doesn't get written down I dont remember it.... Sheri I am sure we are all colors too- we refer to our family as the rainbow- have all shades and colors - MY Mother in law is Nana too and we call ourselves Nana's rainbow.... once when my daughter was about 7 she had a friend down the street who was black- I couldn't remember her name(see above) I said to Carrie you know your little black girl friend, she looked at me and said I only have friends Mom... they aren't colors, she didn't see people as colors so guess we did something right.... Nana
Terrific pictures and memories for Maxi to have forever! I'm glad you had a sunny warmish day - makes those outings so much more pleasurable doesn't it?
