It must be spring!! The frogs are sunning themselves on the rocks! I checked out the pond and we seem to have lost one of our large male goldfish. Everyone else is happy and accounted for though. Sharon M

Hello, Sharon.....I live about 90 minutes SW of Springfield. Its nice to "see" someone around here from my home state. and as you can see I like frogs---none around here yet though.

OMG I was beginning to think that all the ponder here had crossed over or something. Sharon, sorry about your goldie, I also lose a few to old man winter. All in all they look pretty good. Have not see any toads or frogs so far this spring but the crocus are blooming.

I have tons of tadpoles in both ponds. And the night is full of little croking sounds. I saw a few little tree frogs crawling out of the bigger pond yesterday.
I am sorry you lost a fish.

I see people stock their ponds with bullfrog tadpoles since they will eat all the pond algae up, but when they turn to frogs they will eat anything that moves. Now if you live in an area where wild bullfrogs are, you'll get some naturally, but stocking them outside where there was none to begin with isnt the best idea.
