I did make it home safe last night! The roads were really bad! They were better this morning but still a little icy.

Only a little. Probably age related digestive problems. I simply cannot eat the same things that brought me this far along in life. But some things I so miss....

I considered rolling out a bedroll in the bathroom last night but that would really upset the rest of the family. i will be fine later. My biggest problem is interrupted sleep. I will rest now.

the other Saturday I laid on the floor in the playroom which is close to where the downstairs bathroom is. I didn't even consider a bedroll. I just laid on the floor when my head wasn't in the commode.

P.S. a good reason to Clorox your commode once in a while. Your head may be hanging out there before you know it.

Well, John's sister and brother-in-law are here visiting. I just closed the door on them in there to keep any possible germs to myself. The sleep-in felt good but didn't cure my ills. Time for some meds. Imodium, here I come.

I guess you get used to it. I don't enjoy it. You just have to drive slow. I worry more about the other drives than I do about my driving. I drive slow because I'm chicken. People fly by me!

I think it's supposed to rain here all weekend and maybe a little snow on Monday. Weird weather.

If it doesn't rain tomorrow, as predicted, I'm going to make me a hot bed and put out a few seeds. We'll see what happens with it.

My little 12 year old friend who has Prader Willy has built himself 2 raised garden beds and I've given him some seeds to start. He's been saving milk jugs all year to start them in. Once he gets started I'm going to post his picture.

Hi everybody ~

I'm home from dialysis. Maxi was here when I arrived & then my girl came. We had chicken nuggets, mac 'n cheese & green beans for dinner. The laundry is nearly done as are the dishes. I am ready to end my week!

Tina I hope you feel better soon.

Sheri what news of your grandchildren's health?

Jess I'm glad you've been safe w/ all your driving in that weather!

I'm glad they haven't worsened, Sheri.

Maxi went to bed very early tonight. I could tell he was tired when I first saw him... he must not be sleeping well at his dad's. In the morning I will close his door so he won't hear my girl come in & can keep sleeping.

Dialysis sometimes leaves a bad taste in my mouth. So I brushed my teeth, ate a mint, sipped several different types of drinks, but I still can't get rid of it! It is ruining my fondness for coffee. I hope it is gone by tomorrow.

The house is so peaceful, I am very happy.

I am feeling very much better tonight. But I'm still washed out from last night. Even with some good napping. So I am going to finish my coffee and bid every one a very good night.

Good Morning ...
I finally got some sleep last night..yesterday I had to drink 4 cups of coffee to keep going... and then I crashed at 8 and went to bed, night before Mom had a bad night,,, first she woke me up and told me to turn off the radio.. the man singing was bothering her,,,, no radio- no tv,,, was in her head- so she went back to bed and slept for a couple hours - her not me, then she came out and said her little animal was missing-- we have no animals and her last dog passed away 6 yrs ago... told her this ... she went back to bed and slept- not me,,, I finally went to sleep at 5 thinking she would sleep in- no such luck she was up at 6:30 so I was too... Joe was off and got boys off to school ... then we went out to do errands.... stopped for breakfast and I had my coffee.... had boys in afternoon ... Joe made us spaghetti for dinner and I stayed awake for that and as soon as I ate I was ready to go to bed- managed to stay awake long enough to get Mom her last dose of pills... then I was done- practically fell asleep going up the stairs to bed... Joe cleaned up the dishes and kitchen ...
now I am awake at 7 and they are both sleeping in....
I have coffee, tea, hot chocolate. muffins- and breakfast burritos for sharing too... going to put some porkchops in the crock pot of dinner tonight and one to freeze for later...back in a while -

Good morning everyone.
Sundowners is what your mother has, Nana. There are meds that calm it down some. It is hard for the person living with it because what they hear is so real. It is also hard for their care-takers trying to listen for what is real and what is the sundowner's voices. I really feel for you. I hope you both can find some relief from it soon.

Good morning, everybody!

Nana is this new behavior for your mom or have you seen it before? If it is new, you might want to check in with her physician. There can be many causes of such sleep disturbances... from simple to complex. Her doc should be able to sort it out if he hasn't already.

I'm sorry you got such little sleep! I hope you can recover your rest. But I'm glad you cooked so much stuff for us for breakfast because I am hungry this morning!

Oh well, lunch was disappointing. We let ourselves be talked into trying the new Burger King "shots"... those mini hamburgers sold in 2 pks or 6 pks. I told my girl to get Maxi & I each a "meal deal" w/ the 6 pks. I tasted mine & thought they were terrible & didn't eat them. Maxi liked his. I guess you would have to think BK burgers are good to enjoy them.

We got our groceries done though and we are going to make those yummy bicsuit, bacon, egg & cheese cups with salsa added. There is a way to do it with green chili peppers, cilantro & lime juice, but I'm not fond of cilantro. That's what we'll probably do for dinner. You are supposed to bake them in custard dishes or ramekins but I don't own any these days, so we are going to do it in our muffin tin. They'll still be good.

I've had a nice hot shower and now am ready for a nap!

Merme *snoozing already*

So what electives did you sign up for, enrique?
my son only gets one elective next year. he has been debating over band or cooking. I suggested band would be better. he probably already knows everything they would be teaching in the cooking class, but I am leaving the decision up to him.
Wow, now that we have all entirely thawed out from the winter, tonight and tomorrow night will be very near freezing. I'm about to bring my young garden plants in the house for a little sleepover for a day or two. I'm so glad I didn't jump the gun and plant them in the garden too early. they are all still in containers.
were havin roast, potatoes, and carrots for supper. yum yum!

So you are having a Sunday Roast for Saturday, huh? Good for you, Cricket!

I too am glad you didn't put your plants in the ground yet. Better bring them in until it is REALLY time.

We have a while yet. We are not frost free until 5/15.

I took a nice nap. Now I am rip roaring and ready to play.

yes, a yummy roast a day early! the hubby took off with a neighbor eariler, so he hasn't eaten any of it. the kids ran through and grabbed a couple of bites. they are too busy playing on the four wheeler to eat. I got my belly full, and did my cooking duty....so all is good. I've really slacked on the cooking since I've been sick. It felt good to cook a wholesome meal! although, so far I'm the only one with a full belly of nutrition.
after I brought my 'veggie babies' (sounds like a children's book, huh?) inside. I watered my small trees. they have started their new growth so need a bit of protection. I watered them in good and packed hay around them. I think since there is still daylight and I need to burn off some energy that I finally have... now that I'm feeling better! I'll go ahead and water all my flower beds in. it has been dry dry here.
