I've got one daffodil that is getting fat behind the flower that has just died. Is it trying to make seeds? Should I cut the stalk down if it is? I just know I saw the answer to this not to long ago. But I forgot where it was.

Everything in this worls will make seed (so says the bible!) unless they're hybrids, then they're sterile. Yes, the daffs could be making seed, I would say just cut down the stalk so the plant diverts evergy to the bulb instead to the seeds

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. Mary Ann LaPensee
