Hi all ~

I just got back from dialysis & now I am waiting for Maxi to arrive and then my girl will be here a bit later.

I am so glad this week is finally OVER!

When I was at dialysis today we got my weight down to exactly where it is supposed to be when I am finished! YAY! It took us two weeks to get that overload off of me so you know I'm glad it is gone. So I will have a good weekend.

Merme, do you breath better when you're at your dry weight?

Does your girl come twice a day or just in the afternoon when you go to hd?

I roasted some root veges tonight and now I'm stuffed like a big, old hog.

Mark, I have lots and lots of points. I'm saving up for the BIG prize.

Yes, Sheri. I breathe MUCH better at my dry weight and my CHF is better also.

My girl comes 5 mornings a week. She is supposed to come 6 but had an issue with being unable to find a sitter for 45 minutes until her husband gets home. So we made a deal that on Friday's she can come in the evening. Which is perfect for me because I am wiped out by Friday night.

I can't wait to see what kind of prize you get, Sheri.

When I was a kid, every Friday the 13th was celebrated with a party by my mom and her two best friends (also single mothers) and all of us kids. It has some good memories tied up in there.

They are imaginary points that mostly Cindy (afgreyparrot) gives out. Brownie points for humor mostly.

I remember trying on on of my daughter's diapers to see how uncomfortable they were... and she had a blast crawling around on the floor with me (and yes, it was very uncomfortable, mainly because they are PLASTIC and they were not my size!!) Lydia and I laughed for a long time even rolling on the floor when it just EXPLODED all over us... pop! there were these little bead things everywhere! I found more beads behind her bed, by the wall... when we were moving her room around last week.

It was only 10 here today and it felt far colder. I am so ready to begin seeing the temps rise a bit! In fact this afternoon I came home in a different van that was very very cold inside. I got one of my blankets out of my bag & wrapped it around my shoulders right over my coat! I didn't actually warm up again until later when I made a hot snack for Maxi and I and then I wrapped up in a couple of our throw blankets and curled up on the couch. February can be a fairly bleak month in Maine.

Having my girl here this evening worked out very well for us.

I started the ground beef browning before she arrived and then she put dinner toether. We used a Rachel Ray recipe. You cut baguette loaves of bread into smaller segments (we did thirds) and then cut them lengthwise & swipe the insides with mustard. Then you stuffed them with browned ground beef & cheese & pop them in the oven to melt the cheese. They were yummy. I would have liked them even more if we'd added mushrooms & onions but those ingredients aren't Maxi's favorites.

I'm in a good space tonight. I feel really well and Maxi is home.

Mornin everyone! I would normally be making my pot of coffee... but the guy bought me a whole case of those cold coffees, frapacino by starbucks. I guess he was going threw the drive-thru and asked for two (one for me and one for him) and they asked "two cases?" he said... "no, i can't afford all that, they are expensive!" Well, the case of 12 was just a little more than one of them cost! I noticed when he brought them home (a case of 12, 3 flavors... coffee, mocha, and caramel) that they are only good for another month! so i guess they are doing a clean-out and are selling a case for $3! I love those things, but i never had the caramel before... I thought i would like that one a lot, but i don't. I'd rather it have coffee, mocha, and vanilla! I was so excited that he said he's going back today to buy more cases! I did tell him to watch the "best by date" because it does look like they are only selling them by the case because they are close to expiration. I am very excited because i hate sitting at the kitchen table half asleep waiting for my coffee to drip, drip, drip into the pot--only to wish someone would put it into a cup for me!

I have taken to using coffee bags. But my favorite coffee maker for speed was a Bunn. It keeps a well of hot water on all of the time so you get a 2-3 minute pot of coffee. Not good for the electric bill though so I have it stored. I have used a French press for a few years. Best tasting coffee.
Good morning. I have a rental house to clean out today. Yuck. But not as bad as some I have cleaned. I am just helping out a relative today.

I would love a timed one; however, i think that i wake up at completely different times every day. I do think the smell of coffee would wake me up everyday! IT would be my little alarm... just not annoying!!!

Good morning everyone.

Glad you got such a good deal on the drinks, Dpp.--My youngest daughter loves them as well, can't say I have ever had any.

Merme, sounds like you and Maxi are having a good time.--I am sorry you cannot plug your camera cord in the front of your computer. a hint though, I leave mine plugged in a lot of the time. it makes it simpler, does not hurt anything that I know of???--anyone know?? Diane, can you lend a hand here???

can't wait for the photo's. clap
