A place to get info for the newbies. And ask questions.
About once a day (but sometimes not and sometimes twice a day)Arte will offer a rare item that can only be purchased in the curio shop. You are only allowed to buy one rare type a day. Once in a while a rare is given as an adoption gift too. There are four basic room themes offered in rares only Medieval, Aztec, Ancient Civilization, and Egyptian. The walls and floors of these themes are also considered a rare. I will post screen shots of my rooms with all of the items I have so far.
Then there are some rares without a theme, like a hot air balloon, or a fancy fountain, or an in-home bowling alley and a few others.
First my least filled-in room, the Aztec theme. A work in progress:

The red carpet in this room and in some others that you will see is not a rare but is only sold in the curio shop (CSO- curio shop only) and when it is in there you can buy more than one at a time.

The next is the Medieval rooms (I learned to spell that word from webkinz, never could remember it before)
The throne room. Pay no attention to the missing table. I have it but the Candelabra and dummy are kinda stuck right now.

And the royal sleeping chamber

That is a hot tub in the middle of the room. The hot tub is another rare but not worth the money because it behaves just like a bath tub.

And the last two are still my favorites, I think. Egyptian throne room and bedroom:

to be honest the only one I do not like is the Aztec---

My favorite is the Medieval------
then the Ancient civilian
coming in 3rd is Egyptian

and may I say you did a really nice job with the rooms----
question: did you take 2 large rooms for each "room"???
ie: one for the throne room & 1 for the sleeping chamber??/

and thanks for the heads up on the red carpet---
I was looking all over the W shop for it--LOL rolz

I always buy large rooms. You cannot use small rooms and decorate (or cram storage into) them effectively.
I will see what Medieval items I have available. And I do have extra red rugs.

Oh I forgot about the wacky scientist theme. It does not come with its own walls and floors.
[Linked Image]
There are other room themes available only in the curio shop. They are retired themes that used to be available in the W-shop. You can also buy as many pieces of these as you want when they are available. I do not have any rooms to show you.. The old country theme and the cat theme are two of them.

I got to know the different rares and the themes they belong to by going to sites and learning. Most of the themed items I showed you pictures of so you had a clue.
That is not the most beautiful or interesting table they make, is it?
