i am looking for golden chain tree seeds, and brugmansias, any help or swaps would be really appreciated,, blessings, beth

I have a golden chain tree. Have never collected the seed, I will go out and see if they are still on the tree. If so I will let you know, I also have burgmansia "Jack Frost" It did not flower as I just planted it this summer. When it does I will save some seeds for you if you like. PM me your info and I will try to get them to you asap.

The seeds are there hanging onto the now bare branches. Does any one want some????

Do you know your supposed to make starts from Brugs by cutting it in pieces right now an putting it in soil in your basement for winter.. Unless it froze.

seeds are on there way, I harvested them right from the tree to a small packet. Then on to you. You will need to shell them out, some are popping open on there own. Good luck.

Now I am worried.LOL

I assume I have to dry the seeds?

They should be dry.
Most tree seeds can easily be germinated by planting them in a pot of potting soil as deep as they are long and cover with soil. Place outside all winter long. Most tree seeds need at least 90 days of a cold period under 40 degrees F to break the dormancy. They should sprout in the spring after the last frost. Some seeds may require several cold periods to germinate. If you want to speed it up, plant the seed as directed above and place inside a plastic baggie and place inside the fridge for 90 days. Then take out of the fridge and expose to consistent temps of 70-75 degrees F for 60 days. If no germination, repeat the fridge process and then back out to warmth. I hope this helps.

OK! I put the seeds in the mail today. Hope you all have success I love my tree. Not to large but blooms like a giant. Still have some seeds if there are more takers. Bergs are not hardy here in zone 4 so I better go with datura here. Thanks all MARRY CHRISTMAS
