I have a lab that will most surely be in the pond but I don't care. He needs a little refreshing once in a while.

Good to know you are all out there. I have three ponds and love them all. My dogs are little mutts so they stay clear of the water, Yard is fenced to keep out the roaming dogs. Trap is set to catch the Cats and Coons. Ponds are sleeping right now but come march the covers come off so they can start to wake up. CANT WAIT.

They would if I did not cover them and keep a good supply of air going. It has been a balmy winter temps from -15 to 45 above. Can get to -45 on rare ocations.

Looked under the covers today! NO ICE. YES! seen a few leaves coming up from the lilies. Did not see the fish but I am sure they are OK. Got 2 wild cats last week. Have not seen any coons. I removed all the shelves in the ponds and they have not been back. Guess they cannot swim and fish at the same time. I help the herons migrate. "Underground"!

WAKE UP ALL YOU WET PET PEOPLE ITS WARMING UP OUT THERE. Ok now that I have you looking, I took the covers of my Ponds Saturday! The fish look great and NO gunk to deal with ""YES"! Come on lets here about your ponds!
A good Vacuum
Cover BEFORE the leaves fall
and a much better spring startup for ALL.

Hello
I'm wondering, waterwise, what you used for cover on your pond? I lost all my fish in 2 ponds. Last fall I left the water hose on( just supposed to fill up) I figure there was too much clorine. I scooped up the ones that were still alive and put them in the other pond. Though there are none in either pond now. I cleaned it out and shop vacced-it. So i'm starting from scratch. I had some of those fish several yrs.
