I am undoubtedly going to get in big trouble for telling this tale to you, but.... nervous

Yesterday, Cindy drove up to Rachel's so she could attend Brennan's ball game. Two hours ago she loaded Lola in the truck and headed for home. She decided to use the Garmin GPS to be sure she didn't miss any turns etc.

She turned on the Garmin and in response to the request for "destination" she clicked HOME. The Garmin calculated the best route and Cindy began to follow its directions. After driving all the way through Ohio and halfway through Indiana, a little light began to blink in her brain as she finally realized she was headed to Washington. She is now turned around and just passed the exit to Rachel's house, laughing all the way to London!

teach Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... There is only one person in the world like our Cindy.... haha

I love this. Thanks Bill. If you didn't tell she would be telling it herself.

We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart?
The other heart was given to another for us to find.

Guess you need to delete this thread before she gets home then! haha

IMO, she should have just kept going to Washington.....altho she would surely hit snow at some point.

So, Lola can be loaded into the trunk of a car, but she doesn't tolerate planes??? egad touched lol

You can delete this topic. But I would like to make bets on whether Cindy would give herself away.

I would never ever do anything like that. And don't believe a word that Jim at the BP station in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla says.

Oh, you would get rude with it. They are very handy. I couldn't do without mine. But, sometimes they just don't work right. I've lost my temper on mine several times. Then I catch myself going down the road arguing with the computer stuck to my windshield.

I think she 'likes' Jeremy. She is much nicer to him then she is to me. I don't like her tone when she talks to him. She does it right in front of me even.

A little off topic here, BUT....some states do not allow anything to be attached to the windshield...even suction cupped. So if anyone doesn't have a GPS and is planning on getting one, make sure your state allows them to be on the windshield before you stick it on there.

BTW, CVS has a GPS on sale this week for like $99 with your bonus card and you also get $20 back in the form of extra care bucks.

I have a Garmin and love it!! MN does not allow them to be attached to the windshield but I bought this thing that sits on my dash that it goes on. It can be moved from vehicle to vehicle because it is not attached. It is a friction mount holder. Works great!!

A co-worker of mine has a Garmin also and he calls the lady Helen. He will come in to work and tell me that Helen got them to....wherever they were going. When he first started saying it I would always look at him funny and say...who is Helen?....because his wife's name is Kathy! lol

haha thumbup haha That's funny.

We mount ours on our windshield but to be honest I've never thought to check to see if it were legal or not.

I think my mom is buying my brother a Garmin for Christmas on black friday.

Yeah it wouldn't hurt to check. I do see some people that have them mounted on their windshields here but it is illegal so I would definitely check. Would hate for Mark to get pulled over just for that!!
