JunieGirl, you don't have to buy a heater for the pool. It just doesn't freeze.

As far as the garden, it takes about 10 days for the stuff to produce and the weeds will pop up sooner or later. I don't water either. I did in the beginning but it takes so much time. Just don't do it. Nothing will happen.

Pumpkins and melons say 7 days to harvest but it is really only six. Strawberries are 9 days between harvests. I'm not sure on the rest.

I sure do have a lot of weeds though. I've been off for a few days and when I come back my garden has to be dug out.

there is just 2 or 3 plants that want me to rake them--the others say you do not need to cultivate now--come back tomorrow---so I leave...

I started 3 more watermelon plants today----

If you check those plots out, you will see the little yellow flowers around the outside of the plants. Those are the weeds. Soon you will see them without needing the tool to tell you when you need to weed.

OOOH, don't "dig out" with the shovel tool unless you have dead brown plants!
that will restart the seeds and you will have to wait the full time til harvest again.
just use your rake to get those pesky weeds away. then the plants can keep growing.

Some of the aforementioned Christmas theme items are in the W-shop. And I think there may have been a snowfall. But I was so excited by the new theme I just bypassed that.

This is why webkinz is so much fun for me, sending the stuff around. This time i wrote down what I sent and to whom and from which accounts. Usually when there is a new theme out, I get in a frenzy of sending before people spend their own kinzcash and end up with unwanted doubles, that I just start sending and get confused. I got a wee bit smarter today. Not saying I will stay smart. I can't wait for the rest of the stuff to come in. I love the windows.

I saw that. It's neat. I like the polar bear. He's a cutie. We got our first Webkinz Cares from Walgreens a few weeks ago. It was the lion. That one is darling. Some of them are so cute.....and some are very odd.

No one would call you a webkinz hog, Sheri. I gave the windows away because they are not my favorite item to get. And i just got two in a single pet adoption.
Rachel, Some of the pets are very odd looking. And some are cuter in the plush than in virtual and some are vice versa. Tha camel plush is adorable but the online pet is very funny looking.

Carol, When you are in your rooms or yard, you drag that basket into your room and it will open and you will get gifts. I don't want to discuss what is inside until you have opened it and ruin the surprise.

The platter of turkey can go onto a table. That is the first time ever that food was given for decoration. I think the pets can't eat it but it is a wonderful item. Actually really exciting for ww.

2 indoor and 2 outdoor rooms Tina----the bedroom--I have not much in---and the Big living area has a kitchen in one corner and livingroom stuff everywhere else(well right now it is decorated for Christmas)

I have 5 tables in the 2 rooms(2 are christmas ones though)---on one is my 2 lamps from you --on the other in the livingroom is a red amaryllis--and a book on the table in the kitchen--
--in the bedroom is the small purple tree and nothing on the last one--it looks more like a bed end couch the way I have it anyway.

When/if you adopt new pets, the first nine pets each come with a medium room. But you can't direct the placement of the rooms. They may get stuck anywhere that WW thinks they ought to be. It will be attached somewhere to your existing rooms. So you can have a room stuck out all by itself beyond your yard, etc. That is a pain.
The tenth pet and then every fifth after come with a super bed box. All come with extra cash so you can buy more rooms or their needs. So as much as possible you want to 'build the base of your house the way you want it as much as possible. Then with pet additions the extra smaller rooms can be tucked around the outside. They are great for storage like those Christmas things off season.

I just went & bought a big room and put all of my 'extra furniture' in it---and anything else I could put there as well.---I would of used a 30% off coupon on the room but there was not a spot for it---which is sad--I was finally over 11,000--

but at least now I have a storage room with a floor--but nothing else---which for a storage room is fine with me.

Tina you are so much help----I really appreciate it!!!

If you adopt a new pet in your current account all of the money will be blended. everything stays the same except in the "my pets" section you can choose which pet to play with. (one at a time). If you want to separate you have to open a brand new account with a new pet.
The recommended limit in your dock is 100 items. Ganz says having more makes the site run slower. I try to keep under a hundred in there.
And in your rooms, they recommend no more than 60% percent full for the same reasons. Most of mine are over that limit. There are 100 'squares' in a large room. But if you have a fridge that takes up one square it also has items in it which count in that 80%. As do dressers and wardrobes that are full of stuff. And windows and wall decor too. It is darned hard to stay under that 80%.

PS I sell the food mostly because unless you're on a lot at one time your pets won't eat it. Unless of course you're site is like Ally's. I can't keep her pets fed.

But if you don't harvest it when it is ready, It will brown up and die. Then you have to dig it in and start new.

maybe I worded that incorrectly. I have food stored in the friges that I've had for ever. I sell it because it's too much for them to eat. It doesn't go bad, they just don't need that much food. And if you click on Kins Care you get more food every day.

I understood you , (I think) I do that to get the free food thing---

BUT---I have a question about that--do I ever have a chance to win the drawing for visitng for 7 days in a row?? every time I get on and it could be say 6:30 in the morning, someone has already won the drawing?? oh well---at least I am getting the free food---

BTW: thank you for the food and the gate--The gate will go in my "yard" the garden is pretty much full with the exception of a walkway for Froggie

Yes, You have as much chance of winning that drawing as anyone else. It is chosen sometime on Sunday night during the nightly shut down and winners do change weekly. There are millions of people doing Webkinz and the chances are not good odds, though. But miracles do happen.

Carol, what is your WW username? I can send you 3 of the pathway squares today. You may want to send a friends request to tater1999 incase I don't have you on there.

I'm not sure who all I still have in our friends list. Everytime Brennan goes into the clubhouse or trading room everyone always wants to 'be friends'. I go through about once a week and mass delete people just to be safe. Of course I would never intentionally delete anyone here, but sometimes I get in a hurry or I may forget who is who.

We don't usually have too much money in our account but I manage to make enough to get all the new stuff and rares. If you ever have any requests, don't be shy, let us know. I'm sure between all of us here we can come up with what you want.

Don't buy pets just for the funds. You don't start really racking up the bucks until you have quite a few pets and you adopt several at a time. I think it's after 10 when they stop giving you a new room and give you 1000kc instead. It's not worth the real money for the kinz cash. I remember reading somewhere when the e store opened that kinz cash was available for purchase in other countries. It was something like $1 for 100kc or 1000kc. I still haven't gotten into the e store. There is a lot of stuff me and Brennan both like but I can't bring myself to do it.

What kind of cares kitty did you get, Carol?
I think new pets up to the tenth come with $500 each and a medium room. It is hard to remember. Then when you enter the cares code you get another random cash amount that is usually between $300 to $500 or thereabouts.
I am not all that fond of the e-store items because you can't send them to other accounts or sell them. You are stuck with them forever. But it is fun to look at. And I did buy and adopt the gray wolf from there. Today they have the minty reindeer ($12.50) that is kind of cute. Green with candy cane antlers. I cannot remember the special item it comes with but it is nice too.

The kitty is simply the white & black cat.---it is a Lil'kinz but it came with an additional sticker---a Webkinz cares card---I have not opened up each card as of yet----

I do not think I will be buying any e-store Webkinz any time soon.....

That is the biggest question on the Webkinz fanatic's minds. They are all thinking tomorrow and I'm not sure why.
What are they waiting for? Christmas?!?
You don't need to send gifts. Concentrate on getting your rooms set up the way you want them. Check out the different adoption exclusives and share what is on your wish list here. Some of us have a lot of cyber junk to share. I have adopted over a hundred pets. Sometime after the tenth, you start getting two adoption exclusives per pet (or a $1000 coin). Storing all of that stuff starts driving you bonkers.

We were all the 'poor' relative at some point. I didn't begin as soon as some others did. And I got a boost up and had my questions answered right here.

I was the poor relative for a long time and then my grand children, a friends child and now Tori my other grand child have been the poor relatives. I don't know how people start up alone and make enough money to keep their pets fed PLUS buy stuff for their rooms PLUS figure out how to work the website. When I started helping my friends child, Ally, she had $54.00 in her account and her pet was hungry and unhappy. Her site has never run correctly and it's been only through the help from here that we've been able to maintain it.

I think youare right--and again I thank you, and everyone else for all your kindnesses. I think had it not been for all of you, I would not have ever even liked doing this---I would have either never completely figured out the Webkinz site or thought I had and would have in fact had not---

I made a list of some of the items from the exclusives that I like---I will be posting those soon---

as far as my rooms go---I do not really have a wish list set up yet---I need to figure out where I am and what I want to do---and to be honest get thru Christmas first. In January when things slow down I hope to get a better handle on where I am with my rooms.

The ww site has evolved to be at least twice as big and more difficult to figure out than it was when i began. It has more than doubled in size with much more to do than it had in the/my beginning; more jobs, more daily things, more game options and much more to buy.

The rest of the Christmas theme is in the w-shop. But watch your mail before shopping.

I would still be sending but I totally lost track of who and what I sent. That was fun. I have bought over $100,000 in Christmas stuff alone and have a more than complete shop in storage for items people may be missing.

Oh Tina you are just too too kind---you sent me all the New Christmas items I had wanted to buy. I almost bought windows last night---so glad I didn't.

My main "all purpose" room is all decorated for Christmas---I even have a few toys under the tree. The fireplace "crackles" it took me a few minutes to figure that out. lol

I even managed to put a bit in froggies bed room.---and speaking of Bed rooms------is there a complete bed room set for The Magical Dreams bed?? I have that, and a wizards potion table at the beds foot--and then the round one (name escapes me) as a bed side table.---I have tried without success to find a dresser or chest of drawers to match---have I just not looked hard enough???

one last question---I was wanting a 'throw rug-or 2' for Froggie's bed room---but I am afraid that it will completely cover my beautiful rock flooring----will an "area rug" cover all or is that just what they call a "throw rug??"

Thanks

The rugs are all smallish, not room sized. So you are probably good to go.
There are no real room themes for some of the items. But in the w-shop check out your item then click on preview. If there are matching items they may show up in there. I'll have to check which one is the magical dreams bed. Is that the super bed floating on a cloud?

OK,, the magical dreams bed is the wizard theme. If you go to the w=shop room themes section it is the last theme. Click on that and you will see all of the wizard items for sale. They do have everything there. It is one of my favorite with floating candelabras and things

Yes, that blue/purple in the wizard theme is hard to match with anything else. But those stone floors sure do look cold in these winter months don't they?. Even the magic flying carpet doesn't quite match. I think the wizard theme might just be my favorite.
By a wish list I just meant if you see something you would really like post it here in case we have spares. I guess they might have wish lists on thr mypage thingy but I never did set mine up.

About the floors being cold--that is just what I thought---and that is why I wanted a rug or 2----it is a shame there is not a Christmas rug----

I wish Webkinz would offer blankets or quilts for the beds.
