seed plants are divided into two types: gymnosperms(cone-bearing plants) and angiosperms(flowering plants).Examples of gymnosperms are pine trees and Ginko biloba . Examples of angiosperms are apple trees and tomatoes.Many gymnosperms gow their seeds inside cones.Angiosperms grow their seeds inside fruits.Angiospems are divided into two groups:monocots and dicots.Examples of monocots include corn and grass.Examples of dicots include carrots,beans,and tomatoes.Angiosperms are further divided into woody and herbaceous plants and annuals,biennials,and perennials.I'll discuss reproduction processes of plants in another topic.

Peple eat different parts of angiosperms. Angiosperms are divided into fruits and vegetables. Fruits are plants which humans eat the fruit of the plant.Examples of fruits include pears,peaches,tomatoes,and strawberries.Vegetables are plants which humans eat the leaves,stems,flowers,roots,or seeds.Examples include cabbage,lettuce,spinach,broccoli,potatoes,carrots,corn,beans,celery,and rhubarb.
