Many people think that Veterans Day is about veterans but it's also about something else. teach90 years ago on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month of the year 1918,the Great War (World War One) ended.Between 8 million and nine million people were killed. The armistice ended four years of trench warfare.

Yes it began as Armistice Day for that reason. It has been added to over the years to include all veterans of all wars with American involvement since then and the name changed to Veteran's Day. I remember the name change. (I also remember when there were only 48 states)

Did you recently study this Enrique? You seem to have a lot of knowledge about it. I don't remember stuff that well. History was never my favorite subject! lol

I enjoyed history when I had a teacher that was good and made it interesting. And later I got into reading historical novels that brought it all together for me, what they were wearing, eating, how people were making a living, etc. while major things were going on.
