I don't think it really matters, but it is more of a safety net just in case a member were to lose their DC slip......
OK Whats a DC slip? I will try to get mine out by Friday, Monday at the latest. Busy week. OH are we supposed to identify ourselves when we sent our package??
Yep, on the inside of the package we usually put a card or a note! But some of us have forgotten to do that at times!
DC stands for delivery confirmation. When you take it to the post office you just tell them that you want delivery confirmation on the package and they will give you a tracking number slip. I think it costs an extra 50 cents, but it's worth it to know where the package is and to make sure it gets delivered.
A DC costs 65 cents now, I think. It doesn't really 'track' your package except to tell you that the package was received in your town and that it arrived in the it's ending destination. And then that it was delivered to recipient. But if it doesn't get there, You have a paper number to gripe about to the PO. I always forget an identifying note in my packages. I don't remember if I have ever remembered to add one even if I have written it out first before loading a box. It seems to be something lacking in me.

Heading out for yet another roll of packaging tape.....I seriously must have at least 5 rolls here I just can never find them..... And a card for my person so they know it's from me!
I can't wait to see who gets theirs first! I imagine Tina's will be the first to arrive unless someone has sent one that we haven't heard about! This is exciting!!
I bought 2 more little things for my package today! Yes I did....well hey, I was in a store to get packaging tape but come on....I can't just get that!
My boxes cost a bunch to ship. That is the first time I've shipped anything since the prices went up last and I was a little shell shocked. But the timing was good for my wallet so out they went. It is not as bad as when I ship to New Zealand. Most of the time the shipping costs more than the contents of the boxes. And then on the other end, my friends have to pay taxes on the total worth of the contents too. That is sad.

Funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My boxes are usually WAY overtaped, so I feel bad for the person that gets mine because it will be hard to open up.
And I have a slight problem. It seems that when I unpacked the box the other day(had to unpack it to repack it), Mark took the box thinking it was junk and threw it away! My big, beautiful box!
Now I don't know where I will find a box that will fit all the stuff. I am going to have to search around for another one.

Oh no!! Men!! They think they are helping but really are making things harder on us most of the time!

that's OK Loz, I don't mind, really...
now, seriously-----about mark 'discarding' your perfect box--yes I agree with Jessica---that is just like something a man would do---they think they are helping, but in reality---------not so much.
..good luck with the box search. (FYI:) I go to the grocery stores here on shipment day and often find the perfect box for my needs.)

Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain!! .....
Shirley, from now on Mark is not allowed to touch my boxes ever again!
Yes, you are both right Jess and Carol, men do that kind of thing all the time thinking they are helpful.
He doesn't realize I save boxes......I had a huge stack of them in the spare room just for stuff like this.....I guess I should go to the store and get a new one.....another perfect box awaits me somewhere.
It's all okay really because I'm making a little something for my person and it's not done yet....everything is ready and bought but the thing I'm making......and it shouldn't take too much longer...a day maybe two max.
