I picked my first Park Whopper tomato late yesterday and just had to take this pic. It's the biggest tomato I've ever grown that actually tasted good, too. grin I put it on a clear glass dinnerplate to show the size. The pic looks a little blurry but it didn't look that way before I uploaded it to photobucket. Oh well, it's good enough. bop

Cricket, I raised Better Boys (among others such as Marions and others) the last 3 summers and they never got this big. And they're suppose to be "the" tomato for this area. I called them the 'two-slice' tomatoes because it takes two slices for a sandwich..although they do overlap a little. grin Only gonna need one slice of these guys. bop

The Park Whoppers are the only variety I planted this year but I think at least a couple of the 9-pack are something else. The plants don't look the same.

Thanks to you and Jonni for checking it out. grin

I like those dishes because when you change your tablecloth or placemats, you have new dishes. haha

When did you discover you were allergic?

Nice 'mater, Kalar!
Jiffy, I read somewhere about tomatoes that don't cause allergic reaction. I can't remember if it's one variety, or most yellow tomatoes in general, but yellows aren't as bad as red either way. I'll look into it fer ya!
