My sister took her old bbq and planted it - I just had to copy her idea. This is the first one I did and I loved it but because of my bad back and being all crippled up before I had surgery I changed it last year to all sedums for easier maintenance (2nd picture). I put a metal bucket in it with some tri-color for height. It's pretty and easy as I didn't have to plant it this spring but I sure do miss all the brilliant color when I stuffed it as full as I could with annuals (and some sedums that stay each year on the sides). Oh and the little fern growing out of the front was just a "happy accident" that landed there. I'm going to leave it until it gets too big and starts covering up everything behind it.

Thanks everyone. A lot of trial and error in my yard but I'm working on trying to learn what I'm doing!
