What causes the leaves on the bottom of my tomatoe plants to turn yellow with back spots? It is too much rain? Should I cut them off? Don't want to lose all the leaves as has happened to me in the past.

It could be several things, but Early Blight is a common cause of this. Prune the yellow leaves, mulch around the plant, and don't let water splash the leaves when watering. The plants will usually do fine if they're otherwise healthy.

That is what I got Early blight. Looked it up and guess I have been having that for several years. I cut off the yellow black leaves today, but doesnt' look to good. Read lots of stuff about preventing, but I have such a small garden it is probably in the whole thing. I had such wonderful looking plants too!

Sad day for this gardener.
