This year I placed this plant by the front door all shade all day north side, and it has really greened up and has grown so well,, I have found the more direct sun it gets the lighter green it becomes, I cannot let it dry out completely because it won't bloom , Live and learn,, took 3 years to figure that out It has bloomed for me plenty in the last three years but has never gotten this green,, I've always had in dappled sun with maybe a couple of hours of direct sun. She is happy here so I'll keep her here from now on! cactus%20and%20succulents/carrionstarfish.jpg" alt="[Linked Image]" class="post-image" style="height:auto!important;max-width:100%!important;"/>

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. Mary Ann LaPensee
Kenny it roots and grows so easily!!!!! Makes a great indoor plant But loves being outside in the spring summer and early fall, A piece will break off and I just stick it back on the soil, I don't even have to plant it in and it takes root!

Diane - that plant is sooooooo pretty and looks terrific right where it is!!! It has such a nice shape to it too!
Mine is only 2-3 inches tall still, but I am going to pot it up today in a small hanging pot and put it outdoors under my birch tree where the pitcher plant and fuchsia are growing very nicely. Hopefully it will do better for me there too.
ooooooooh - does the flower stink??? I have read that they are supposed to smell like rotting meat!
OK - I potted it up in a slightly larger pot and hung it outside under the white birch tree. I'm posting a picture so we can follow it's growth. (hopefully!)
and is that a clumb birch??/ I love them---my DH bought me one back at the farm0---MANY years ago--from a nursery chain that will go un-named- --but it came bareroot, dormant & never survived--so when my little one was 18 months old we planted a free soft maple in its place. That tree is still there to this day.

Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain!! .....
I went to water this plant this afternoon and was THRILLED to find this flower and another bud growing! The flower is only about an inch wide, but it's the small things in life that count, right?!?
thanks again Diane!!! It is growing out of the bottom of a stem and I almost missed it, being a dark color, but the sun was shining just in the right spot then!
