It's good to see you on tonight, afgrey.

I have to go lay down and elevate my arm so the swelling will go down again. It is nearly impossible to keep it high enough (above the heart) when I'm sitting up!

See y'all tomorrow.

Safe away home O my palies and sweet dreams to you all.

Warming up here a bit too. Hope the grass dries out so I can use the sit down mower, then DH can finish the rest with the push mower when he gets home. My lawn is awful looking.

Good morning!

We are supposed to have scattered T-storms off and on today and then the rest of the week it will be in the 70's where it should be.

Even yesterday's heat outburst wasn't so bad because there was a beautiful, very cool breeze blowing and if you stood still in a shaded area, it was actually quite pleasant. The T-storms are supposed to reduce our humidity, which will be very nice!!

Maxi has a big field trip on Thursday. The marching band is going to Water Country in NH and oh man, the kids are so excited.

Good afternoon. I just woke from a short nap. I've been very, very busy. Driving hither and thither mostly. Stopping when I can to work. Collapsing into webkinz world when I get sit still time. It is warm without rain here. We could use more rain.

what's this webkinz thing? I've been afraid to even look. My son started a game on the web called neopets. he got bored of it and offered his 'guy' up to me. I got hooked. all I could do was earn money so I could buy stuff so I could sell stuff, so I could buy more stuff to sell more stuff. I'm afraid to check out this webkinz....is it about the same thing?

I'm so happy about our weather today. we got some MUCH needed rain! I finally got my three little trees planted that I've been hem-hawing around as to where to plant them. I've been driving myself crazy with that. the rain came, I did a little googling about sunlight and such, it was nice soft ground, I got them suckers planted, live or die little trees......!!!! bow badday bow haha

Cricket, webkinz is very close to neopets. But I believe it is set for a younger crowd. You don't create your pets as in neopets. And it isn't free like neopets. But just as addicting or more so for some of us. You by a plush with a code. Then you get a virtual pet with a room and a special item that comes with each pet. Any othe rooms and things you have to purchase with 'earned' money playing games and such.
Cindy started us all on it asking if any of our kids had any so they could be friends with her grandson. I checked into it and bought a pet for my son to encourage him to use the computer. He wasn't interested but loves the plush pets (stuffed animals). I'm hooked on the gaming part now. I have about fifty pets in 4 accounts. It's all fun.

I'm having a cup of wine. Blush wine over a small mountain of ice. I am about to go stretch out where it is peaceful and cool. I'm stiff from all the sitting I had to do today and need to go flat for a while.

Maxi is out on the porch with his friends. They are comparing the different places they are going on Field Trips this week, wondering who is going to the best place!

Hubby is asleep and the kids are finally quieting down. I guess I need to start getting up extra early. then I'd be wanting to sleep by now. there is sure not much to do in the evenings when everyone falls out so soon. wish I was a tv watcher sometimes.
I notice it's been quiet around the coffee house today. everyone must have had a really busy day.

Good morning, everyone ~

It is half an hour until Maxi has to leave for his trip to Water Country in NH. His bag is packed, he is showered and dressed. And he is sitting out on the front porch, waiting!

Is this child excited or what?

Earlier he put on a pair of his swim trunks that are very attractive. But I noticed he couldn't walk right in them. I asked him what is going on with your tunks? And he told me there was something wrong with the net. I said "Maxi, you can't spend the day walking weird and fixing your trunks. Change into your red pair!"

"OH!" he said "Good idea!" lol and off he trotted to change. The red trunks aren't the same designer label as the pretty floral ones but at least he is comfy in them! rolz Mom's are still important for 12 year olds, it seems.

Oh those younger days were fun. I remember DD getting so excited over the little trips they'd take. She'd pack and re-pack for hours. lol

The food and drinks at this water park are VERY expensive, so he packed snacks and drinks to take along. Then he could barely lift his pack because those water bottles are heavy! He was walking around saying "Water, water everywhere and not a drop to drink!" and then "Mommy, sailors say that, too!" lol

I hope Maxi never outgrows his love of adventure and his ability to approach each day with great gusto.

And I so hope he remembers to actually use his sunscreen!

Morning,
Up early again today- got laundry started... and breakfast done for Mom- Joe went to work... it's a nice day today - only supposed to be in low 70's so that is a good day... 80's rest of week they say... looking fwd to getting out of town and just vegging next week..will be really nice to do nothing for awhile.
It's funny from my family room- where I keep my laptop, my eye level is just above the kitchen floor.. it really needs sweeping- that will go on the list I guess,Carrie works late today so don't have boys till late today... noticed I need to wash the sliders glass and screen door too- have handprints on both.... really need to do all the windows but have to have Joe here for most of them- out of my reach ...and I try not to use the steplader when I am alone-- maybe tomorrow when Joe is home.
Well I have to go and get busy - back later.

You are so right!

My son can be a real chatterbox especially when he is happy. Gee, I wonder where he gets that? why

Now I have to be a little creative about dinner which I forgot to make sensible plans for....

We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart?
The other heart was given to another for us to find.

I made very sensible plans for dinner. I cooked up the chicken for Bill's chicken enchiladas and it is all shredded. I bought all of the rest of the ingredients that I didn't have on hand. I have salad and watermelon to go with. Now my enthusiasm hasn't dwindled but my energy has. They will have to wait until tomorrow's dinner.
