Juniper monosperma, growing at 7,000 ft. in New Mexico. I know the female makes the berries and that they can be used for everything from turpentine to medicine. Used to make sauerkraut to gin. clap
Have been told that if you want venison without killing Bambi all you have to do is cook a beef roast and put some ripe berries, then it taste like venison.

The thing that I don't know is when or how to pick them an do you have to dry them or just lay them out so the bugs can have time to leave,..LOL.. haha
I have recently moved to New Mexico and have about twenty beautiful seven ft trees...Many seem to be female an have berries (conifers) from green to blue black.
Thank you for your time! thumbup
