Well poor Traveling Willy apparently spent the night on my front porch last night! You see... we have a new mailman, and he apparently stuck him up against the front door because he didn't fit in our mailbox with the rest of the mail. We don't usually use the front doors - we come in through the garage and into the basement. Amy practically tripped on the box while going out for school this morning!!!
But all is fine - it was a nice night out last night - crystal clear, and in the 60's. TW really didn't mind at all.
As a matter of fact, he's chomping at the bit to tell you all about his first minutes out of the box and bag!
Hiya everyone! TW here! Boy is it great to stretch my legs again after being in that bag and box for 4 days! It is sooooooo nice here in NY right now - clear blue skies and temps. going up near 80 today - PERFECT!
The first order of the day, was for me to meet the furbabies of the house! That way, we would all be friends from the get go, you know?
Salem thought I was pretty cool! gnomes/TWandSalem4-18-08.jpg" alt="[Linked Image]" class="post-image" style="height:auto!important;max-width:100%!important;"/>
So did Amber! gnomes/TWandAmber4-18-08.jpg" alt="[Linked Image]" class="post-image" style="height:auto!important;max-width:100%!important;"/>
Roxie, always the shy one, wasn't too sure, so she walked away. I'm sure we'll get acquainted real soon. Lynne is VERY busy cleaning today for tomorrow's Passover dinner company. I'm going to help her as much as I can, and then hopefully she will be able to take a break or 2 and show me around some more.
Ohhhh - before we get cracking with the cleaning, Lynne wanted to show me where we will be communicating with you all.
Isn't this the coolest screensaver? All the cat-eyes blink at different times! gnomes/TWandscreensaver4-18-08.jpg" alt="[Linked Image]" class="post-image" style="height:auto!important;max-width:100%!important;"/>
And of course this is on the screen when it's not idle... gnomes/TWandTGH4-18-08.jpg" alt="[Linked Image]" class="post-image" style="height:auto!important;max-width:100%!important;"/>
See who I met beneath the monitor? Some of Lynne's little friends - they are now my good friends too! gnomes/TWandfriends4-18-08.jpg" alt="[Linked Image]" class="post-image" style="height:auto!important;max-width:100%!important;"/>
OHHHHHHHHHH - you should have heard what this one told me all about CINDY!!! I promised I wouldn't breathe a word of it, in order to find out! gnomes/TWandalien4-18-08.jpg" alt="[Linked Image]" class="post-image" style="height:auto!important;max-width:100%!important;"/>
Now we're really off to cleaning before the rest of the day gets away from us!
Man this cleaning thing is a whole lot of work!!! First we had to put all this stuff back under the kitchen sink - Don had to take it all out 2 nights ago when he found that a drip was leaking down into the garage by his car - turns out the kitchen faucet was leaking. Good thing he is a VERY handy sort of guy - he fixed that baby in no time yesterday, but Lynne didn't have time to put things back then. Can you see me??? gnomes/TWandundersinkstuff4-18-08.jpg" alt="[Linked Image]" class="post-image" style="height:auto!important;max-width:100%!important;"/>
Next I checked out the new faucet and purifier - very shiney - I likey likey!!! Great job, Don! (Lynne says not to look at those horrendous kitchen tiles - she hates them, but it's not in the budget to replace them yet!) gnomes/TWandfaucet4-18-08.jpg" alt="[Linked Image]" class="post-image" style="height:auto!important;max-width:100%!important;"/>
When we came back into this room to post, look what I found! A basket full of wonderful colors and softness! Lynne says this is only a tiny bit of the yarn that she uses to knit and crochet. (I'm thinking that this might be a good place to sleep tonight - what do you all think???) gnomes/TWandyarn4-18-08.jpg" alt="[Linked Image]" class="post-image" style="height:auto!important;max-width:100%!important;"/>
Then she showed me just ONE of the SIX drawers that are filled to the brim with more yarn. Now how am I supposed to decide where to sleep??? I might have to try each one on a different night! gnomes/TWandyarn24-18-08.jpg" alt="[Linked Image]" class="post-image" style="height:auto!important;max-width:100%!important;"/>
Next we stopped into Amy's room to bring in some clean laundry. LOOK WHAT I FOUND IN THERE!!! THE TWINS! Can you see how surprised I was to meet them??? (we had to take them into the bathroom to take a picture, because Amy's room looks like a tornado has passed through it!)
She decided he was OK, and then went back to sleep 'til I woke her with the vacuum - poor Roxie!
TW here again! Lynne said that since I was such a big help in cleaning today, she would take me with her to the grocery store. I can't remember if I've ever been to one before so this should be fun! Hope they let us use the camera in there!
Awwwwwwwwwwwww It looks like Salem, Roxy, and Amber all gave T willy a Welcome kiss! Good Idea to get them all acquainted right from the start!
mannnnnnnn will T willy have his picks of Yard to snuggle down and sleep soft and comfy on,, Lucky Willy,, !!
Hey Cindy Did you notice the double salute from Lynne's little Alien friend?? The secrets he has I'm sure will forever stay with Willy now that we've found out what was in the suitcase,, I doubt he'll utter a word of your secrets to anyone!!
Tooooooooo Funny the twins shocked T willy so!! I'd think he would have figured out where ever he goes on this tour there will be other willy's there to greet him!

Welp, I'm sorry to say that the grocery store was MOBBED with holiday and Friday shoppers, and the powers that be would NOT let me take pictures there either.
We did finally manage to get everything we needed, and have it all put away for tomorrow. We even got a free 5 lb. roasting chicken from the holiday deal the store was running - YEA!
TW and I are all worn out - from cleaning, and shopping, and it's actually 85 degrees out there now! Who would have thought it would be that warm in mid-April - very strange indeed.
We're going to take a much needed nap right now, and will see you all a bit later.
Oh, I'm so glad to know that T-Willy arrived at your house, Lynne.
The yarn beds look so comfy and I know he will like sleeping on any of it, but don't be surprised if you find him snuggled up with Salem or Roxy!!
I love Cindy's relative who lives at your house!!!! T-Willy was 'disgruntled' at me for showing everyone what was in his suitcase, but HE, on the other hand, can keep secrets!! I'm sure he would never tell any secrets your alien friend told him about Cindy!!
I would have taken him to the grocery, if my car hadn't quit running!! So I'm sure he is going to enjoy that experience. Hope he doesn't ask for everything he sees!!!!
Before I forget.....can you take some pictures of Willy during the Passover dinner, or before/after, and have him explain some of the dishes to us and the meaning? My sons church hosted a (is it also called Seder or Sedar? or am I thinking of something else?)Passover dinner and the Bible teacher explained the reason for everything, and it was so interesting and enjoyable. I wish they would do that again. I know that T-Willy will be most respectful, and I think it would be something nice to share with all of us.
Willy, I let Puddin' read your posts with me. She had a tear in her eye, and she was most frightened for you when she saw you...here....but I explained to her that it was only one of Cindy's relatives, and, maybe but harmless!!!
I didn't know how to break it to you and Puddin', but when I got up to answer my phone a few minutes ago, look where I found TW! gnomes/TWandtrolldoll4-18-08.jpg" alt="[Linked Image]" class="post-image" style="height:auto!important;max-width:100%!important;"/>
He's thinking she's a bit closer in age to him, what with her white hair and all... but I tried to remind him of Puddin'. We'll see how the next few days go - looks like we've got ourselves a bit of a playboy!

OMG Lynne You caught him!! T Willy!!!!! Yepp we've got an Old Willy Player touring the country all right!! Looks like he doesn't care what age they are!!
Love that Picture Shirley Pooooooooor Pudding,, Young at heart and many lessons to learn!
"Grace without perfection is more to be desired than perfection without grace."
I know, right Diane? I felt so very sorry for Puddin' and really didn't know how to let her down easily, but you are really not going to believe where I just found him! I was calling and calling but I couldn't hear him answer me - because he was too busy!!! gnomes/TWandGlinda4-18-08.jpg" alt="[Linked Image]" class="post-image" style="height:auto!important;max-width:100%!important;"/>
Her sister didn't take kindly to a funny little old gnome making time with her younger sister, so she knocked him down and grabbed her by the hand and made a run for it! gnomes/TWandwitches4-18-08.jpg" alt="[Linked Image]" class="post-image" style="height:auto!important;max-width:100%!important;"/>
Soon after, some woodland gnomes happened by, and gave him a hand. PHEW! gnomes/TWandgnomesanimals4-18-08.jpg" alt="[Linked Image]" class="post-image" style="height:auto!important;max-width:100%!important;"/>
Once he was safely back in this room, another new friend came by with some magic mushrooms that helped make him feel good as new! gnomes/TWandmushroomgnome4-18-08.jpg" alt="[Linked Image]" class="post-image" style="height:auto!important;max-width:100%!important;"/>
Don't get too used to those mushrooms, TW!!! This is a once in your lifetime save!
Ohhhhhhhhh My!!!!!!! T willy got whalloped By the wicked Sister!! Good thing she didn't put a spell on him!!
Thank goodness for woodland gnomes,, Talk about coming out of the woodwork to save him!! Whewwwwwwwwwwww Must be that gnome telepathy,, I bet he was screaming 'Heeeeeeeeeeelp!"
Sometimes it doesn't pay to Play with Women T willy!!
Magic Mushrooms Yep I bet they did the trick in deed to get him back to feeling better!!
"Grace without perfection is more to be desired than perfection without grace."
You have to remember tho magic mushrooms given by a gnome to a gnome are only for gnomes,, they would do nothing for a human except maybe give us hiccups
"Grace without perfection is more to be desired than perfection without grace."
I just got on here and found T. Willy's Cousin Fred's look-a-likes! Do you think they were cloned because now there are 2 with Traveling Willy right now, 1 at Loz's and 1 who came from the mountains to attend TW's birthday party. How many more are out there?
Remember this?
Cousin Fred will be delighted when I tell him about all his look-a-likes.

Glenda Did you forget that gnomes birth only twins??? Yes its true,, sets of twins only , SO I imagine there are a lot of look alikes Could be Loz's gnome and T willy's cousin Fred are actually brothers!! How awesome would that be!~ and we here at the Gardenhelper all hold the family tree together!
"Grace without perfection is more to be desired than perfection without grace."
I have to find a 'young' gnome for Puddin' I guess, she just wrote a 'hot under the collar' letter to TW, which will go out in the mail tomorrow!! I won't tell you what she called the 'white-haired-one' TW met!!
I'm sorry, I didn't know that gnomes can only have twins.
I'll have to ask Counsin Fred if he has a long lost brother and if the name Loz or Laura sounds familiar.
