After we left the casino, Traveling Willy was very disappointed. I decided to show him Louisville from the Indiana side of the Ohio River.

This is the east side of downtown Louisville.

This is the central part of downtown Louisville.

TW wanted to look throught the viewer but he needed two hands to do so. He would have had to put his suitcase down and he has not done that since he got here. Whatever is in there must be very precious to him.

The guard told me that was his mean look. I asked him if he could look meaner but he said he couldn't. lol

Tomorrow Traveling Willy is packing and Tuesday he is off to his next destination.

I will be making him a new travel bag tomorrow also. He went through my scrap tub and picked out the fabric. Traveling Willy arrived in a purple Crown Royal bag but I lost it at the Derby museum. blush

Here is TW looking for just the right fabric.
Both the fabric and the next destination are a secret until he arrives.
lol nono

i'm thinking, if willy played fair, since gnomes are all knowing, he still would have known which slot machine glenda should have sat down at to win. so that still wouldn't have been fair why maybe (judging by the guard's smile) he and willy were in cahoots to keep willy honest why

Traveling Willy was sooo disappointed about not getting to gamble that I just couldn't do that in front of him.  We left right away.

TW had a great time with you anyway Glenda - I just know it!!!
And thanks so much for showing him and us some of the area around where you live. He really has gotten to see some great areas of the country so far - lucky duck!

And a brand new bag that is homemade - what could be better than that?!?
Can't wait to see which fabrics he picked out!

More great pictures! Sorry we couldn't see T-Willy gamble, but that may have turned out to be another bad habit. The guard did look amused about the whole thing; nice of him to have his picture taken with Willy!!!

Hey, I've seen that Indiana sign!!!

Abotuthe gambling, Well Glenda--a girl (and a gnome) can only try !
and you both did try to take T Willy gambling!!!

Perhaps Diane has a point--T Willy did not need to pick up yet 1 more bad habit.

but you showed him a great time with all the other places you took him & all the other things he got to do.--and such nice gifts you gave him !!! I cannot wait to see what material he piked out for his new travel bag, or where he will stop next!!

I have Traveling Willy's new travel bag finished. It's lined with flannel so he will be very comfy in it.

Do you think he should travel wrapped in his blanket also? I wonder if he'll get too warm. I asked TW about it and he can't make up his mind.

Here is his new travel bag.

[Linked Image]

TW has packed up his box of souvenirs. Something special for Cindy, something special for Bill, and , of course, his John Deere tractor and birthday card.
He insists that he has it addressed as complete as it needs to be. You tell me who's right... me or him. tapfoot

Thanks
It was the least I could do after I lost his royal looking crown royal bag.

Traveling Willy picked out the fabric and we had a long discussion about the colors in the embroidery but we are both very pleased. bow lol

Uhhhhhhhhh I think you're right about the addresses on the box not showing,, T willy is just anxious,,

Is it going to be cold where he is going next?? I guess that would depend on whether you wrap him in his blanket then put him in the bag,, why in any case he could always idea take the blanket off! thumbup if he got too warm!

I too think you did a wonderful job on T Willy's bag---it looks as if you went out & bought it it is so well done!! he will be so very proud to travel in it.

also I think he should travel with his blanket in the bag.--that way if he finds he needs it it will be handy--if he does not he can just lay on top of it!!!

Ok, the votes are in. thumbup

The quilt goes in the bag with him. I'll fold it as a pillow and, if he gets cold, he can wrap up in it. lol

Tomorrow I'll be posting his goodbye's. My final posts in this thread. tears

Here are the pictures of TW's goodbyes.

When I told him he was leaving he told all the other gnomes and they all rushed outside to see him off.

[Linked Image]

I guess he thought he was going somewhere in the car just like he has for the few days he was here. I really had to disappoint him but this is how he had to travel.

[Linked Image]

Of course he didn't know we were getting in the car and driving to his next destination.

Finally, Traveling Willy is introduced to his new hostess. She told me she all kinds of plans for him. Maybe he will think she is very special and will reveal what he has in his suitcase that is so precious to him. lol
Goodbye Traveling Willy, have fun at your next town! wavy

All the gnomes were out to see him off, even Bob the Builder. Hugs were given, a few tears flowed, and promises to write were exchanged. You may have noticed that one gnome was so upset he could not even look at TW.
