Yes, Bill!! The fact that they are waking her up and that she does respond is wonderful news....keep this :wink: on your face for awhile, especially for your Cindy to see!!!

Not much more to tell you. She was able to open her eyes for a few moments. She wasn't awake very long. Every time I put my hand on her forhead she would open her eyes. I believe she knew I was there. Even though they were able to take her off of the sedation, she is still very heavily medicated. I was able to spend some time with the respiritory specialist. He said the same thing we've been saying, baby steps. This takes awhile to come through. There is no magical moment that it is suddenly better. It's just small steps at a time. Keep praying. She still has a very long road to travel. I will be here with her, though.

Checking in before I head out for the day............I just know there will be more good news when I get back!

I'm so glad that she got to see you Rachel!! I'm sure she knows that you are there and it is wonderful that you are able to be by her side during this!!

Bill, Rachel ~ thank you for sharing so much with us. You know we love you all. I doubt there is a person on this forum who wouldn't drop everything to move heaven and earth if need be to do anything you needed. Our love makes us committed, so prayers come easy.

We wouldn't think of doing otherwise and there is no need to thank us!

I can stay as long as I want. It's too hard to just stay there, though. I can't stand to just sit and watch a machine breathe for her. I will definitely be there each time they are able to let her wake up. When she opens her eyes she will see me. I'll be going back up soon to spend some more time with her. I have to wait until after their shift change at 7:30.

Oops! I'm thinking it's east coast time again. I thought it was 6:40 right now. It's only 3:40. So I'll head up that way in a few minutes to see her. I still take the prayer cloth and pray with her each time. And I give her everyone's love.

Diane I finally got it to download made me cry also. Praying harder then ever for Cindy.

each and every time my Computer asks me if I wish to allow the download this time & i say yes----but each time it tells me it failed to download---I have tried it every which way---
So I guess I am going to just have to be content with the knowledge that I know that Diane for certain did an excellent job of making the mantage of Cindy--- :wink:

Maybe the 3 of you can take a walk around the block for some fresh air to help you feel more relaxed.
I know the traveling makes one tired without doing any thing. We drove out west about 8 times, always felt horrible in the end .. Felt like our head was going backwards all the time.

Hoping things improve with CIndy.

And we continue to pray with you Rachel,, when they wake her~ even for a few seconds she is conscience enough to hear your voice and knows for that quick time you are there,, and Bill is there, and she knew she felt Brennan's kisses,, so hold on to that,, she may not remember between times,, but for that few seconds,, She KNOWS,, and that gives her strength!

She is doing a little better this evening than she was this morning. She is back where she was lastnight. I know that is kinda confusing, but there was just a teeny tiny setback over the night lastnight. She has gotten herself back on track now. Brennan went in with me again and gave her all kinds of Brennan love. We'll be back with her in the morning when they wake her again.

Thanks for the Update Rachel. Brennan is soooo sweet and brave and handling this like a champ. I can only imagine this roller coaster your riding with the up's and downs I know it's hard,, we're here for you

I agree Rachelp, were here anytime you want us. Brennan is being brought up like a true man. Glad he and Jeremy are with you. This gives Bill just a little less stress. Good luck. God bless

It is Good Friday in our land here. Day of Prayer , Christ died on the cross for our Sins, so we can live.

Diane, I too cried when I watched your creation. I remembered how happy I was when Cindy spread her wings and flew west. I love the picture of her head against Bills chest, I think that is my favorite.

I agree with the others. Baby steps are steps in the right direction. Still praying for all of you. Hopefully Cindy will open those peepers soon.

Today is a good day! When I walked in I saw her beautiful eyes looking at me. She is very alert and responsive. She is trying her best to move around but can't very much because of all the machines. The doctors are hopeful that they will be able to remove the ventilator today. She is breathing on her own today. The ventilator is still in place to help if she needs it. She may be able to stay off of the sedation now. They did tell me if they had to put her back on sedation it was ok, it is just so she can rest a little more.

Everyone keep praying for her. She needs to feel your strength. I'm sure it has all been very scary for her waking up today. I've assured her she is good and we are all giving her strength and our love and prayers.

I will be back to see her as soon as I can. They made me leave so she can rest. She would not rest with me there. She kept a hold of my hand and kept looking at me. She got her love from Brennan, too.
