It is a rare moment, a special occasion
My body is calm as is my mind
The skin I'm wearing feels like I own it
I'm beautiful and no one can take it away

I'm sitting in my favorite spot
Just listening to the birds
Watching the flowers grow
In awe of the peace in my head

I lift my face to the sun
Is this what normal is?
I can't move or breath
I'll break the spell

The demons are at rest
I don't know how I've done it
If I did, I'd chase them every day
And give myself a break
