What are some small foutain plants that I could plant that wont get to big?

here is the fountain i want to put some in the middle one

Arlene, what kind of sunlight conditions do you have there in that area? That will make a big difference in the plants....is it mostly sunny in the AM or PM or mostly shady all day long?

Do you want plants with color or would you like plants for the foliage?

Are you interested in annuals or perennials?

If it were me I'd plant something really tall, but not too close that it would hide the fountain.....I really love lavender---it's pretty and it smells wonderful!

Arlene, that is so pretty. I assume you are saying you want a plant in the water. If so you probably want something low and will flow down. If you cannot find anything send it to me.

These are all hardy zone 5. That would look pretty. My favorite would be the Chameleon because the leaves are pretty and you would always have color. The forget me nots color probably would look pretty also

Myosotis scorpioides / Blue Water Forget-Me-Not
Hardy water plant resembling the common garden variety. Creeping groundcover with small blue flowers.

Caltha palustris / Yellow Marsh Marigold
Single yellow flowers and deep green leaves with scalloped edges. One of the first plants to bloom in spring. Best if planted in a cool, shady location.

Lysimachia nummularia 'Aurea' / Golden Creeping Jenny
Carpet of small yellow flowers and round golden leaves on trailing stems. Helps to soften the transition from land to water along the pond's edge.
Height: 6"

DUH, I read it wrong! Sorry about that.....will you plant anything around it on the outside though?

Keep it turned on as much as you can, the movement of the water will deter mosquitos from making it a breeding ground.

yea we turn it on around 6:00 am and turn it off at night around 8:00p, loz we palnted marigold on the side of the plant i got 20 of them for 10$


does anyone know where i can find that Lysimachia nummularia 'Aurea' / Golden Creeping Jenny

r where can i find all of them i googled them im going to choose eighter the forget me nots or thosse marcsh marigolds, and thank you all for your help

the area get almost full sun all day except for like 2 hours durn the day around 3-4:30

Oh what a pretty fountain!! Please post pics this year once you get some flowers/plants in it... so we can see the finished project!!
