Best to repot them in bigger pots with good soil. I don't know much about your planting zone...someone should be along soon to give you more info.

I rooted some rosemary in August and have three plants sitting in pots on the wondowsill in my dining room. They get sun when there is any (not too much lately!) and the cool temps (1 degree this am) don't seem to bother them. What I mean by this is that the windowsill is a little cool, but the house is warm, 60's to 70. I will keep them sitting there until May when they will go into the garden. If there is a freeze the rosemary will die outside. I would keep yours indoors, let it have sun and some water (not too much), and plant outdoors when the temps are reliably warm. Good luck!

ok thanz but one more thing::
one of them is brown on one side and where it is brown, all their little needle-like leaves just crumble when you touch it
i read somewhere online that they may lose their flowers come winter but they wont lose their leaves
is this true?? and if so then whats wrong with the one??

Rosemary is evergreen where it thrives. It sounds like your little rootbound trees couldn't get enough water. When you repot, trim off any brown parts. You will lose your 'tree' effect but that isn't natural for rosemary anyway.

No, they can take an awful lot of cold. I just would'n plant them out in mid winter.

Where in Alabama are you? In the Huntsville area rosemary is iffy about living through the winter outside. My Mom has one that is doing great outdoors, but mine typically die in winter.

IM IN zone 8, I THINK

WELL DONT GET MAD BUT, I WENT AHEDA AND PLANTED THEM ON A WARMER DAY IN WINTER AND THEY ARE DOING GREAT!!
I TRIMMED THEM UP AND PLANTED THEM SIDE BY SIDE, ALL 4!!
THEY ARE AROMATIC RIGHT BY MY AC SO IT SUX THE SCENT IN, WHICH IS HGREAT ESPECIALLY WHEN WE HAVE A FISH FRY (WHICH WE DO ALOT WITH A FISHERMAN IN THE HOUSE, LOL)
THEY STILL HAVE THEIR LIL TREE SHAPE BUT I DONT REALLY LIKE THAT SO ONCE THEY GET BIG ENUFF I'LL RESHAPE THEM
I THOUGHT THEY WERE GONNA DIE JUST SITTING BY THE WINDOW, COURSE ID TAKE EM OUT ON WARM SUNNY DAYS AND I WATERED THEM WHEN THEY NEEDED, BUT THEY JUST WOULDNT STOP TURNING BROWN N FALLING APRAT SO I DID WHAT I THOGUTH WAS BEST AND SOMETIMES THATS ALL A GARDENER CAN DO, REGARDLESS OF WHAT SAYS WHAT, YA KNO??
AS SOON AS THEY WERE IN THE GROUND GIVE IT A FEW DAYS N THEY STARTED TO PERK UP!!
GOOD NEWS FOR ME- I DIDNT LOSE MY ROSEMARY!!
