My God Grand daughter, Allyson, was given a Webkinz for Christmas. She is 8. Someone on Christmas day with the site acting so wierd she registered her pet and set up a small room. There is some type of glitch with her pet and I'm not sure what it is. I'm wondering if it's because she set up during their down time somehow. Anyway, her pet eats constantly. When I checked the site today she was down to 54%. I've sent food, played games making money to buy food, but I can't keep her fed. Allyson has spent almost all her money on food for this dog and I can only send one gift of food a day. Until they get this fixed will those of you that have extra send a little food to her. Her name is DarbiAubry8. She has used the names of both of my biological grand daughters - she wants to be just like Darbi. I'm going to send each of you an invitation. No hard feelings if you can't do this. Hopefully the site moderators can get this fixed soon.

Sheri, can you ask me again to be her friend? I said no thinking it was someone random---I'd love to send her food.

I wonder why her pet is so hungry all the time like that-very weird.

I just sent her stuff from each of my accounts and zstan. (That was before I read here. I recognized the names.) She has 3 oak pools to sell so she should be able to get plenty of food. Have her buy a few her pet's special food. That will be the first item in the food section of the W-shop. It will cost $25 but should raise her food meter up fastest. Let us know if the feeding problem still exists after a bit.

and, unless we have that kind of pet, we can't buy that special food. also, does she have a bed? she needs to put the pet to bed every time she logs out, or the pet gets hungry too. i'll send food from jiffymouse.

On another site that I go on, someone did win the scratch off. So they are winnable. When they first began the scratchers, they did say there would be more than one of each item available. There are millions of accounts out there, though. That kind of crimps our chances a little.

She got the Shih Tzu. Thanks for sending stuff and I hope it will be returned to you because her dad went in and tried to change her information and re-register before she received anything. Now we can't access her account at all. They tried so many different passwords they don't know which one is which. They also tried to change her name on the account so who knows. I don't know what they're going to do now but I'm letting them figure it out. I'll get back to you all when I know something. Thanks for the effort though.

It warns you when you first register that you cannot change your user name nor your pet's name. I hope they can work it out. 1-866-932-5469 code 2407. Maybe they can help. They did nullify an account for Rachel so she could re-adopt.

thanks. I'll forward that info. I tried to tell them to leave it alone until they could talk with someone but.... I'm bowing out of this. I just feel sorry for Ally.

Her site is back up. Her name is still DarbiAubry8. I checked it and there were no gifts just an invitation to be a friend from Jiffymouse. I hope your stuff was returned to you.

This is really getting wierd Jonni because they are saying they didn't do that. That the only friend thing they got was from Jiffy and it was just a little while ago. This is so odd. What did you send? The only stuff in her storage bar is the food I've bought. Do you know when you received the Thanks you's. We've been working on this since right after church. About 1:30 I think.

But anyway. I just bought her an outside room and we can't rename it. Every thing I try, like yard, lawn, pool area, outside, garden, flower garden, says I'm using words that are not allowed. Any suggestions about this?

The naming part has glitches right now. I sent her an oak pool from each of 3 accounts with food and maybe a toy. And food from the other account I take care of. Check her phone to see if I am listed as a friend, tedkinz, tedkinz1, tedkinz11 and zstan.

I know what happened. It has to do with a little 8 year old girl going onto a web site when her parents have told her not to do that to start with without their approval.

She has been watching Darbi play Webkinz so asked one of her grandparents to buy her one and they did right before Christmas. Her parents didn't realize she would be on a website. They are cautious about websites, of course. So Ally went on the site Christmas day, by herself, and registered her dog. She and Darbi live beside each other so they played on Webkinz and spent all their time feeding Ally's. They were afraid to ask their parents about it because Ally's parents didn't know she had done this. So Darbi told Ally they would ask Gangaran, me, at church, which they did.

I'll explain the rest later. Gotta go to work.

I got Ally's password at church and told her I would try to help. After church I thought I should tell her mother that I had her password and might have to share it with some of you. Her mother of course was dumbfounded and said that Ally had been hysterical about "her pet" but they couldn't figure out what was wrong. (as it turns out she was worried about feeding the dog all the time and not having enough money and whatever else goes through a 3rd graders mind). Well, Ally and Darbi had gone home with Ally's grandmother after church and while they were at her house that afternoon they went online and opened the gifts you guys sent. Last night her parents, after having a sit down with Ally about going to websites without permission, went to the site to try and change her user name because they were upset that she had used Darbi's and Aubry's names thinking that someone might somehow get some private information about them. Ally was already in trouble so she didn't tell them she and Darbi had been on Webkinz all afternoon. So, now that I've asked about the gifts I've ratted Ally out twice.

I have not explained everything to her parents and they agree this is a safe site. Ally has kept her user name but they did change the password somehow. I just visited her site and her pet is still eating like a pig. I bought some blueberry cheesecake (favorite food) and fed her so we'll see how that works out.

As always, thanks for your help and sorry about the confusion.

You explained everything quite well, Sheri. Jonni (16) is not allowed on the computer unless I am right here breathing down her neck because she goes places and does things that I don't want her doing. Webkinz is a safe place to go. I'm glad Ally is able. The pet appetite is a puzzler though. I hope it fixes itself soon. She ahould have plenty of money for food for a while if she sells those pools. .

Her site still isn't running correctly. Her pet is eating like a mad dog and I can't move her furniture around. It's very strange. The pet will walk around but the furniture won't move. I bought Darbi a room for a bathroom and was able to name it but on Ally's I can't name her room. It keeps telling me that I've used an incorrect word.

When there is a problem is it sometimes with just one persons account?

Yes, it can be just one account. I have one of my three accounts is not working quite right. But not bad enough to call anyone about.
