Lynne I vividly remember this day exactly because we were shopping at Hecks Department store in Keyser WV. Me and my family of course...all of us.

They had TV's set up all over the store for the premiere and the store was packed and we crowded around to watch the video.

I would've been almost 7.

I would have been a year old then...therefore I don't remember the premiere of it.

Lynne, wouldn't it actually be 24 years old--or am I miscalculating?

25 years ago come to think of it I wasn't in the US....we moved here in 1983, and that would mean I would have saw the video, it would've been the first year we moved to the US---June of 1983....Dad said next year is our 25th anniversary over here.....so now I'm confused, but I specifically remember seeing the premiere of the video in the store there surrounded by a million other people watching it.

I didn't have the Thriller jacket. I think the jacket I had was from the Beat It video.

I had a Michael Jackson like jacket...but I think mine was purple and pink, but it was styled like the ones he wore.

OH Now I feel really old... I was 32 in 82... had a 15 yr old dd- an 11 yr old son and a 5 yr old dd... was working at ATT- we watched the video a lot - but my kids never wanted the clothes or gloves-- Carrie didn't like the video much at the time-- but they all could dance like he did- we sometimes had about 15 kids in teh house doing the dance along with the tv....they recorded it on the VCR and played it over and over to practice with....

That is very weird, loz, because this morning I saw on Wikidpedia that it was released first on December 1, 1982! And Good Morning America had a segment on it this morning!

OK - looked it up again - the ALBUM came out on Dec. 1, 1982!

I was 30 and living in Belleview, a western suburb of Nashville. My kids were 7 and 9 at the time and I can remember all of us staying up to watch the premiere of the video. I have it on my computer right now.

It was easy math, Cindy---I was born in 1952. If Thriller came out in 1982 then I was 30--I just counted by 10's---no math really required for me--just fingers-- teach lol
