I read somewhere that being exposed to cooler temps,, the devils back bone would turn a bright red with veins in it,,,, I also read that the more sun it gets the redder it becomes,, Well it looks to be the cooler temps is the right theory,, I left this out all spring and summer and now fall,, Temps have been as low as the low 40's at night, off and on for the past couple of weeks,, I have never left it outside when it dropped below 50 this is the first fall exposure to well below 50.

mine looks like that too diane, but it started getting red before it got cold, just as it cooled off. kissie thank you for the starts of it.

NICE PLANT. I LOVE THE BEFORE AND AFTER PHOTOS. ITS ALMOST LIKE A NEW PLANT.

I love to set my Jade in the sun so it gets red under its 'leaves' and on the edges. It's pretty then.
