Thankful for...

Rays of sunshine falling down warming my spirit and making me whole.

The innocence of a child as they throw their hands in the air and dance with glee.

A husband who is my pillar of strength, a man I truly admire.

A belly that's so full when so many have nothing to eat.

My health, while it's not perfect it's so much better than so many that suffer in pain each day.

A warm bed to crawl into at night when I know there are people out there sleeping in cars and under bridges.

My best friend Mel, sister of my heart---my sounding board and touchstone for so much in my life.

Parents that brought me up with so much love and attention and are always there.

Clothes on my back, when I complain about having nothing to wear I must remember there really are people out there with NOTHING to wear.

Crafts, for they are my therapy....picking up a paintbrush is the same equivalent of me laying on a couch and paying $100 an hour.

Books that allow my imaginative, creative mind a place to escape to--a whole new dimension.

Christmas lights shining, twinking, sparkling during the gloomy days of winter.....cheer me up and give me some holiday spirit.

flowers for their cheerily popping up in my garden and decorating it with such color that it awes me every year.

Garden decorations that give my outdoor room the whimsy that I love.

And last, but not least---I'm thankful for my forum family that listens to me vent when I need to vent, lets me lend an ear when they are in need, hears and sees some of the happiest moments of my life, and is there when I'm sad and shed some tears.

You all are the best extended family a person could ever ask for and I treasure each and every one of you. kissie :ding:

Well I just got to thinking, that even though we may always complain about our lives and what they are lacking, there is so MUCH to be thankful for that some people will never have.

Just feeling grateful today and thankful.

I am thankful that I and all of my family members are healthy (well fairly) and that we all have jobs, warm houses to stay in and food enough to keep our bellies full.

(a lady in a store last friday reminded me of this.--and yes she was correct.---We are fortunate indeed.)

I just watched Seinfeld with the soup nazi.

I'm thankful that my husband loves me even when I'm having a bad night like now.

I am thankful for my family and friends. We all seem to be in good health so I am thankful for that also. I am thankful for my job. We are both working while there are a lot that are not. We have food on the table and a roof over our head. This year has been difficult for many financially so I think we are more thankful than ever for what we have!!

That's what Johnny says about ToDeTa. As mean as she is she loves him like nothing or nobody ever has.
